The interesting comparison there is that nothing was conclusively proven in regards to Cronulla (I know in khunts case it isn't either). We all have our suspicions but the players took the deal as a group rather than spend big dollars fighting a case. The higher paid players may have fought but the lower paid ones could not afford it. This is where the players association really let them down.

The history of ASADA shows they dont release information until all the evidence is collected and prosecution is ready to go. In Cronulla's case this was not what happened.
I work with people associated with ASADA and people associated with Cronulla. The guy that is associated with ASADA is who told me the whole case was a monumental eff up and basically a non existant case due to it all being politically motivated.
The nature of ASADA changed when those with sports and sports administration were pushed out and replaced by public servants associated with the current federal government. This is why its reputation has fallen to a terrible level.

So as we all might have our suspicions about Cronulla and esp their captain but basically ASADA had nothing on them

Still technically supply mate. No doubt some evidence will be mobile phone related. Doesn't matter how little he offers his mate. If he purchased it and forwarded it on, that's a big hurdle. Allegedly of course.

I really don't get these guys. Apparently made a fortune from AFL so can't be a need of money. Sounds to me like a guy who buys for himself but is happy to share. Unfortunately tho that just escalates the charge.

Appearing under his real name of John Touma, the 49-year-old slipped quietly through Southport Magistrates Court on February 6, charged with supply and possession of cocaine.

I met a John Thomas numerous times when I used to visit a mate in the can. He was also an inmate. He was the brother of Joe Thomas. I think he played lower grades for us. Must be the same bloke.

I also know him very well and would be incredibly surprised if he was involved.

You are right, he played for Souths. He never played for us so I don't know where the SMH got their info from in the story in today's paper. I guess 'fact checker' is now an obsolete career.
