  • Tippy Twopoo (Toops!)

Bro's and ladies, I thought Tippy Twopoo had a great game on the wing yesterday, getting reacquainted with his old mate from Manly Wolfman. With quite a few of our stars off contract at the end of the year, I hope Tippy isn't the odd man out and leaves for some big bucks from some loser cellar dwelling club. Do you think he will take the unders to be part of a possible dynasty here at the Roosters? Nothwistanding Burgess, MIcthell and SKiDs 4 players two wing positions next year...but I am a Tippy fan so I am asking the question.

Imagine how fast Tippy would be if he fixed his running technique after making a bust? He needs to learn to run head first instead of running with his head turned around facing the defenders and eventually running backwards. I asked him after the game whether the running backwards ploy was to taunt Stewart and Hiku and whether he was trash talking them, to his credit being a great bro' he just said nah and then he lol'd!

I'm really hoping that we manage to keep all of our off contract backline stars. You'd say that Fergo is pretty much guranateed to stay here if he doesn't get in trouble or anything like that, but I have a feeling we lose one or maybe even two of RTS, SKD and Tupou.

You'd think Burgess would have only signed with the knowledge that he would be in the top 17; however is that Robbo's style? I dont believe so. If Tupou, RTS and SKD are all able to negotiate deals to stay here, I'd say Burgess will have to go above and beyond and prove himself to bring more to the team than these three players. Robbo has made a few decisions which I felt many coaches simply wouldn't have. He has moved Leilua, FPN and Kennedy on since he has been here, and has proven time and time again that you have to play and train yourself into a spot in his 17. Who would have thought Moa was in our starting line up for rnd 1 2013 when he signed? Or who would have predicted SBW to have to make do with a bench spot upon his return to league?

Furthermore, I'm hoping the club make the re-signing of Jenko in 2016 a priority. Imo he's the classiest player in our backline by a long way, which is saying something considering how strong and skillful our 1-5 all are.

Why did we sign this Burgess idiot?
I can't stand having a Burgess at our club.

Surely we wouldn't have offered him a "contract that was to good to refuse" and then put him in reserves. Unless it was done before the assurance that the nrl was going to allow us to sign fergo.

Personally i can't see one of skd or toops here next year.

For my Money Toops is a must to stay.
He hasnt even reached peak .Wingers like him are rare.

signed before fergo, so really a back up? he really should expect some time at wyong, no way he could walk into this team? maybe he might walk into a trial next year, but no way a comp game? training attitude counts for a lot at easts, that's why marty is now doing so well?

Toups is a must to keep! He was highly impressive against womanly, and looks set for a big season this year. I believe that SKD is unfortunately the odd man out, and he will make way for the one and only good and drug free Burgess.

Was also very impressed by RTS. I have been having some concerns about how he will go for us this year in the key position of fullback. After his performance against womanly, he has eased some of those concerns and looks headed in the right direction.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

Toops was passed over as a generic by the eels I think,

those wingers who made grade, well whoever, they not there now....

actually his body now looks more like the Izzy we compared him to a few years ago

I cant see the Roosters moving SKD on, maybe to England but not to another NRL club. The guy is a Rooster through & through.

I think Tupou is a must to keep. Given the choice between him and SKD, I'd take Tupou anyday. His skills under the high ball are very important out wide imo.
