  • first big off season domino about to fall

FSN is reporting that DCE is at the Sharks today finalising a contract for 2016 and beyond.

Canavan/POS would be wise to get some signatures on contracts for the guys we want to keep out of JWH/Napa/Fergo/SKD/Maloney/RTS/Toups because clubs will start to scramble as the dominos start to fall.

its all well and good the players talking about wanting to stay, but we don't want to take the risk with some desperate club throwing insane money at any of these guys before we tie them up.

Lol didn't see that coming. Go the Sharkies

I'll enjoy seeing Manly be bottom feeders for the next decade.

Couldn't happen to a more deserved team. Very destabilising for Manly's season.

I wonder who tipped off FSN that DCE would be at the Sharks today, because they were waiting for him and he didn't exactly look impressed.

apparently his manager reckons he is meeting with another club tomorrow, would surely be those dirty dogs and their ANZ stadium funded salary cap.

absolutely it was, they had it scrolling as a news alert across the bottom on channel 500 on foxsports.

It said they were crossing to Shark Park for an update and that DCE was there for contract negotiations and was expected to sign by the end of the week.

sorry should of specified FSN on foxtel not the foxsports website on the news ltd site.

perhaps they toned down their enthusiasm for the story between breaking it on TV and when they wrote the article, but they definitely stated they expected him to sign before the end of the week.

If you view the foxsports news video on the link I provided then you will see that is not the case

I think that Parramatta will have a bit of coin left over after Hayne's departure & they don't re-sign Sandow.

We should concentrate on retention rather than entering an overpriced market. The prices being touted for certain players are farking ridiculous.

                          Chook.

Chook, I think that is exactly what we will be doing.

Yes the prices of players such as lolo and foran etc are unsustainable for clubs. Unless they have really fantastic juniors who are emerging and will play on entry level contracts. I'd love to sign Bryce Cartwright to fill sbws void.
