As for fullback i would prefer to see Sam Perrett playing there or Mini and Sammy alternating between full back.I would prefer to see Carney at 5/8 and at the moment there is no guarantee that Anasta will be a 100% fit for the start of the season so who would be 5/8 if Carney is fullback and Braith not fit?

RUSSELL FAIRFAX: That phrase unfortunately has no place to play in the modern game. We are now officially known as the Roosters maybe i should change it to and “the Roosters to win”. I do know a bit about that saying when i had the terrible misfortune of being shown the door as a coach back in the early 90s i pinched rugged ray punch line and after i gave my version of why i was sacked i finished it with “Easts to win” and no matter what sort of a rough deal i felt i got here as a player or a coach it will always be Easts to win for me.

I don't think Mini can get back to his best but I do think he is an adaptable player who is still far and away our best option at fullback.

I have no idea why you would sign one of the best 5/8 / halfback's in the game to play him out of position. I keep hearing that it's to keep the halve pairing together which makes less sense IMO

That's nice and all, but Brian is the one down at training every day and has not confirmed a thing other than Carney and Mini will both be trialled at the position.

I don't think there has been a time in the past 4 years that I haven't used the term ****wit when talking about Crowe.

I wouldn't be afraid to say it to a Souths player or staff member. In fact I'd be pretty interested to hear their thoughts on him, given the amount of hilarious stories I've heard about Crowe's exploits when he pays them a visit during training.
