At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The fireworks at the Easter show are making more noise than the crowd tonight
I don't care what anyone says we need a decent 7,9 and a centre. Until we get those we won't be much more than middle of the road.
Our 6 was in nth QLD with our fullback/backup number 6, our 7 was in Rotarua with our hooker/backup half.
and a new contender for the number 9 was in QLD playing in the all star match.
I find it really funny Coggy that you are basing our 2010 season on 2 split trials, the full team has not even played a full game together.
our season is over, lets just forfit hey coggy???

Guess what Mario, I based last season on what happened in the trials. You can try and paint a rosy picture but the team we have is just mediocre.
i am not trying to paint a rosy picture, i am actually not trying to paint any picture based on 2 split trials that had nowhere near the roosters full strength team.
By no way am i saying that we will win the premiership based on the Atherton trial and by no way am i saying that we will win the spoon based on the NZ trial.
A more informed and educated desicion can be made when our team plays their full strength team (or close to it) in the next 2 trials.

A more informed and educated decision can be made when our team plays Souths.

Minichielllo, Pearce and Aubusson didn't play the second half. When three of the four pivets sit out the half it's obvious why we didn't score anymore points

Relax Coggy,as long as they try their best, then thats fine. We're a reasonably good side,a win or two, here and there, should bring a little sunshine, into a season dominated by the doggies, souths and eels.

I think the halves in the least of our worries - find me a better three players to have battling it out for the 2 halves spot at any other club than anasta, pearce and carney. The hooking role has only emerged as an issue since we had to cut friend. I for one hope friend does return to the NRL and roosters next year when he is re-registered as he is definatley the goods and already has his bearings/feel for the club so in terms of striking up combinations, it will be far less taxing. I think as others have identified, jones showed enough potential in the 9 for mine to warrant him filling the utility bench spot while i think jaubs can do a good enough job in the starting role if he can get back to full fitness and try and recapture some of his storm form - lets be honest, the dragons nearly won the comp last year with dean young at hooker and ben hornby at halfback so i wouldnt worry too much about it coggy and if friend returns next year as i said then we will be well and truly set.
In terms of the centre issue I completley agree and think we need to aquire inu. With the eels struggling for room under the cap and already having a wealth of quality in the outside backs he could be a good fit. Can also play wing and fullback and is a pretty good goal kicker. Dont forget when he first started out in firsts he was considered to be as good as inglis and folau and that was under coach smith. If he can regain form and confidence look out NRL
