The result of a first trial is irrelevant. Did anybody see any of the game or are we all commenting on a headline score in a split team trial in early February?

      Just wondering.

whilst the result of the 1st 2( split trials) means nothing, i remember last season we were smashed by Saints in perth, easily beaten by parra at campbelltown after having 90% of the ball, cant rememebr the other 2 ut think we were beaten also, they may be trials but they also are an indication where we are at, maybe a split trial isnt the best indicater, but the next 2 games will be for me.

WE need to put the sword to the tigers and highly over rated Eels.

As i said, a more educated and informed desicion can be made when the team plays a proper trial when all combinations can be seen.

the tigers and parra trials will give a better indication of our structure and combinations in preparation for the real thing.

your spot on there rusty !

In my opinion there's basically a new team running out there for this year's comp and combination's take time to evolve and start to gel...players learn each others game & attacking moves...& plays then slowly start to evolve and become second nature...I can't see the team hitting their straps till they've played at least half a dozen games without disruption to the playing roster...this year is really a rebuilding year...I know it's been like that for several years now but we're back to that situation again this year...hopefully it gets done right so the following couple of years can be real chances of a title shot...

Not sure why people are expecting us to kill it this season.

                  We'll finish 10th.

It was just a trial, but in saying that people are talking about how it was a understrength team and all that but if we get a few injuries our depth doesn't look to good.

IMO i don't like the idea of split trials.

Ill give Smith this-he is capable of putting a new young team together quite quick and getting them competative. I just see there are lot of teams with a better roster than ours but you never know.

and in '07 we won against the Tigers and the Eels whilst using the one marker ploy. Not an indication of where the team is at

The one marker ploy was not used in either trial, which is why the players where lost in rd 1, they may have trained for it but kept it a secret until the 1st game, a secret that was best left forgotten

It was hilarious to hear on Foxsports how they mentioned the Warriors beat a Roosters side full of international stars.
