There were many in that era. Sandy Campbell, Mick Delroy, Paul Mares, Gary Bridge...
There certainly were
Kurt and Dane Sorensen...
Out of all them though, I'm not sure anyone lost form when they came here as much as Matt Burke. So much so that I'm not even sure it was actually Matt Burke who came here. Just some guy who looked like Matt Burke...
That's actually his brother Matt. I bumped into him at the Cloey a few weeks ago.
Matt ran the Mill Hill for years and often had ex Roosters drink there like Trewhella, Salvatori, Tim Dwyer, Mike McClean and Trevor Patterson. They were animals on the drink.
oh yes, oops, D'Oh, Brad was half? and Matt a Centre? came from Randwick rugby didn't they?
It's good to see Olireti Samuelu getting a run. I think he is a great player and will definitely excel with this promotion to the top grade. Well done to the young kid.

been our best yougster for 2 years, lost count of the MOM awards he got last season
So Carney is going to play fullback.......OK...get over it. Surely Smith knows more about football than any of us....and Im prepared to give him the chance to prove it.....Fullback in attack can be played like an extra 5/8 th anyway, and in defence we have Mini and Sam Perret ( to pretty fair fulbacks in their own right) to support Carney. I think this could be a masterstroke, with his speed and his GREAT kicking game......I hope it comes off.
Dis post is so wrong on so many levels, i don't know where to start.
Carney is not locked in as a fullback so how exactly does smith know it all when he is unsure himself?
I don't know why we shouldn't look at one of our last half/5/8 that we turned into one of our great fullbacks and that is Luke Phillips. Now there is one conversion to fullback that worked well.
