Roosters SUPPORTERS Website...Really ??

    Roosters SUPPORTERS Website...Really ??

    I am Roosters to the bone, and joined this site to hear from like minded people, SUPPORTERS.......not a bunch of smart ass neggies....which is what Ive seen in some of the posts and replies by so called senior members here.

    Ive been through the hard times over the years, from 1965, from the times of Ron Saddler and Kevin Junee, and when our biggest forward was under 90kgs......... and as long as our boys put in their best effort I walked away happy..... sure we havent got the roster to be called a team of champions this year, but we have got the opportunity to form a champion TEAM.

    Its 17 against 17 every week, and my hope is that our boys can form a bond that makes them ready to put it on the line for each other, I think if brian Smith can get that out of them we will have a good season, and be competitive with anyone on our day.

    The heart of any team is shown by how they defend, and how they can stay composed under pressure.....that should be Smiths main goal this year. If we get that right we can hold our heads up against anyone.

    I think if you take a proper look around you'll find that most of us are quite excited for season 2010.

      He has a point, a lot of negativity on the boards lately. Last year in mind, we are quite a different club. I'm sure as hell cheering for every single player who is contracted to us or newtown...... Yes even SKD.

        I wouldn't expect 100% positivity considering we are the wooden spooners.

        You can't tell people how to feel.

          I dont expect 100% positivity, my comment says SOME of the posts, by Senior members, and before we have even played a game. It was just a comment....calm down.

            Obviously not if you felt the need to start a whole new thread accusing this forum of being a place of negativity.

              Welcome Roosdaman, good to have you on here.

              Positivity breeds success. keep it up dude, we will have alot more of it in 2010

                You want negativity ? Go visit the real Wall. I couldnt spend more than 10 minutes there last year for fear of catching the wrist-slashing disease (its akin to listening to Tracey Chapman's music). I doubt i'll be back there this year.

                This place is mild in comparison.

                  LOL spot on there OVP,

                  i got my membership the other day and was able to log on to the "official" forum................thats the last time for 2010 !!! If NRM is not banning people for nothing, others are slitting wrists before the season has even begun.

                    I'm not telling anybody how to feel, but there's really no point about shooting down players or Smith's tactics before a ball has even been kicked.

                        Thanks Muzz. I dont wear RWnB glasses,...cant find any....... and Im not blind to mistakes our side may make, but until they have played a few games together I just want to give them a chance to do their best.

                          Ill tell you what. You be the SUPPORTER, and Ill stick with being the realist.

                          In case you didnt notice, we just won something we should never have seen in our lifetimes...the spoon. Did your mum ever smack you with a wooden spoon?

                          And another thing, leave the motivational speeches to someone that knows what they are doing.

                          P.S. I hope we beat Souffs in Round 1 - there...even a realist has hope.

                          But deep down the realist knows the ****ing drill.
