Roosters SUPPORTERS Website...Really ??

I am Roosters to the bone, and joined this site to hear from like minded people, SUPPORTERS.......not a bunch of smart ass neggies....which is what Ive seen in some of the posts and replies by so called senior members here.

Ive been through the hard times over the years, from 1965, from the times of Ron Saddler and Kevin Junee, and when our biggest forward was under 90kgs......... and as long as our boys put in their best effort I walked away happy..... sure we havent got the roster to be called a team of champions this year, but we have got the opportunity to form a champion TEAM.

Its 17 against 17 every week, and my hope is that our boys can form a bond that makes them ready to put it on the line for each other, I think if brian Smith can get that out of them we will have a good season, and be competitive with anyone on our day.

The heart of any team is shown by how they defend, and how they can stay composed under pressure.....that should be Smiths main goal this year. If we get that right we can hold our heads up against anyone.

and as long as their opinion about how the team can be better has merit I will appreciate hearing it

I said Smith knows more about football than any of US..... hes a professional coach for gods sake....but that doesnt mean i think every decision he makes will be right, but i think he should be given the opportunity to do what he thinks is right..... and i still think Carney at full back could be a great move,,,we will have to wait and see, but .if you think you know more than him you are certainly not a realist.

IMO, Todd at fullback is a huge mistake and waste and may ultimately cost us a semi spot. So everyone has a right to question that.

And that is not necessarily true either....

He may know more about coaching, mainly for the reason none of us have done this... but who says he knows more about football......

Well if he keeps dropping bombs like he does at training it may only take one to lose a gaime. And if we miss teh 8 by 2 points...guess what dipstick? That decision cost us a semi. Hopefully he has learnt to catch em better. In reality, he was always going to and will be playing in the 6, after Round 4.

But Smith is just what the doctor ordered. We probably wont be top four material for a while, but I reckon the team will show more pride in the jersey and we definitely wont hold onto the spoon.
Carney will stay outta trouble and Ryles won't play the ball backwards.
