Is it just me...or do the Roosters get a raw deal from Refs?

Of course I watch the Roosters play every week, having foxtel is a bonus, and Ive got a 63 inch Plasma HD....

I have 2 brothers who are also Roosters fans and every week last year they rang me during games and we couldnt get over some of the shocking decisions that went against the Roosters....

I cant believe we all that one eyed..... very few 50/50s went our way......and many times the decisions were obviously wrong....and ofcourse the opposition scored on many instances, and our young guys heads went down.....is any body with me here.....and if so what can we do about it?

all we can do about it is get 20 in front, when your losing the bounce of the ball never goes your way

I thought that apart from losing the penalty count in almost every game, we were denied many 50-50 calls such as Pearce's 40-20 against the Cowboys. When calls went against us, we would inevitably drop our bundle and the points would leak and the game was lost.

I bought the blue BMW M3...and got the Red and White personalised number plate ROOSDA in June 2002.... I wanted ROOSTA but it was taken....and they only make one of each....so im stuck with ROOSDA.

I was 50 years old then, worked for 33 years, paid $98,000cash for it.

I know I earned it, and i still drive it now.

Thanks Axe, its been a great car and still stands out.... its still only done 140.000 ks and goes like a rocket.

I get some crap about the number plate up here, but love sticking it to the Broncos fans....

my mum was a die hard Rooster too, passed away a few years ago now but used to call the Broncos the Drongos til the end.

Yes Roosdaman,the refs have been blatantly against us for a few years now.
Maxwell has actually laughed at us when the opposition score a try against us off one of his bullshit penalties.
Many have said it is Old man Finch getting back at us for kicking his kid out of our club...

Thanks mate, she was a classic, I went to live in Atherton for a time when i was only 18 , a long way from home and she used to cut the Roosters clippings out of the Sydney papers for me and send them up every week.

Its an interesting thing, I don't think we were getting any more hard done by the Refs than alot of other teams.
I probably think of it more the other way round, I think there are teams that get an easier ride.
The Broncos definitely have had it alot easier over the years, nearly all the 50/50 calls went their way.

Maybe it comes down to attitude and they were always confident and the Roosters were just lacking attitude last year.

Any team down the bottom of the ladder cops a raw deal with the refs. Its self perpetuating....we lose the penalty count, then get a rep as an ill-disciplined team so refs look closer at what we do compared to our opponents and we get nit-picked out of the game.

You are so right, its self perpetuating....but still frustrating, we have to be really disciplined this year, and hopefully overcome it to an extent.
