It would be the round 5 clash in 2002 where we had most of the first grade squad missing due to injury.

It's a Chooseday Night footy game celebrating Dally M winners - in this case JoE Johns.

So I'd be surprised if they picked a game where he didn't put in a stellar winning performance.

We lead this game, with a team of nuffies, for about 65 minutes..

Then Joe-E started to play footy & they beat us by about 14 points...

I still remember yelling at Johns......screaming "Don't start playing now"

Tough night out at the footy, but i left the game with the feeling we would do serious damage that year when our full team was out there at once..

Now that the spoilers are out of the bag, I am pretty sure at some stage during the game, he did one of his famous collapses on the field looking like he was knocked out.. and hobbled around shortly after looking like he was gone... Now of course we all know it was just the withdrawal symptoms and he got a hit from the trainer.

Cockadoodledoo, you are spot on, joEy did take a "tumble" when it looked like we would beat them with a MAJORLY depleted side.

Flanno played 5/8, Yak was captain. I remember Wing, on our forty, put in a cros field kick wich found a flying Toddy byrne down the sideline, Toddy caught it on the full and streaked away to score.

this was also the game that Sammy obst took out Adam McDruggo, causing a knee injury with a one on one tackle right infront of the Pen when it was in bay 15 !!!

While we lost this game, the effort put in by the players that stepped up to fill in the injuries was fantastic and the knights were embarrased to only win by 14

60 mins they made hardly a peep. Then they woke up.

This is the game everyone says they knew we'd win that year; such bloody spirit. Pity I missed the replay.

We'll never win another one unless the Pen is moved back. Roostafarian's witch doctor confirmed it mun.
