A big role, I think, will be Ben Jones. He needs to come off the bench and run rings around Taylor, Burgess, Stuart and Pettybourne - all big units with little to no lateral mobility. Wrongfoot them, and then put hole-hitters like Symonds and Morbs through gaps.

Mack do you think Jones will make the 17?
If so he will definetly be a handy weapon off the bench!

I would prefer Jonesy over Koups on the bench. Koups has never really stood out to me as an impact player. Jonesy though really impressed and surprised me in the AllStars game, massive potential and only young. He should be in the 17 against the rabbits

I voted for Souths to win 1-12, unbiased assessment. I think it will take us a few weeks to hit our groove. Totally new coaching staff. Totally new style of play. New players in significant positions. Older players being moved into new positions. Add a couple of injuries in there. So I think it might take a little more time for them to completely gel. Considering none of the positions have been put in concrete, Smith is thinking the same way

What have they done to deserve the plaudits? Everone is carrying on about Taylor, everyone is carrying on about Burgess. The only good player they have is Sutton. Let's be serious here.

Taylor's fat and even Soliola looked good playing for NZ. Burgess hasn't been tested yet. He might be alright but he's overhyped.
As far as Souths go I think you're tripping if you think they're a great team.

It's great seeing the Bunnies become a Hollywood team while we are becoming the underdogs. Quite the role reversal, however I actually think we can win games.

Haha too true. The only difference was that when we were the "Glamour Club" we actually won games. Now people talk about them being the glamour club, pffft, bullshit. We are now the underdogs, but have a better team than them in my opinion anyway.

People are overrating Taylor big time. With Burgess, i can see that he has the mould of a potentially great player.

What has Taylor done ? Bludge out wide and run at centres with his massive frame. Yes the bloke has potential, but he hasn't impressed me all that much. Doesn't seem to enjoy the rough stuff.

I mentioned in the other thread that last year, during his rampaging run of form, they came against the Cows. Neil Henry put his teams enforcer, Luke O'donnell in the centres to mark up Taylor. LOD proceeeded to just pummel Taylor every touch he got which resulted in Taylor going missing for the rest of the game.

Geez if only we had JWH for this game...


I'm going for a Bunnies 1-12 victory, simply because if we lose, then at least i can get some joy out of the game.

Brain, you know as well as I do that most of the Vermin players and faithful are illiterate, so will never understand JT's taunts. Especially as they don't come with pictures.

Even Rusty reading them out won't help, too many 'big words' for the Vermin to understand.
