i guess giving him 5 games to play for a contract is a great incentive for him to perform.

very very interesting but by no means a silly move imo. this guy had some decent raps on him for a while and just was never really able to hit his straps thanks to injuries, inconsistent team selections and a host of other anomilies. I think he is a big boy, pretty aggressive and has potential and with smithy at the helm anything is possible. Id call it an astute move and put it in the guerra category ie a young player with potential who has had injuries/not enough opportuinites as yet and might be worth developing and investing a bit of time in. If it pays off absolutley brilliant, if not well at least we had some extra depth when we needed it. Welcome jacobComment
