    Have heard we have signed jacob selmes for a short stint until the injury toll get better. He will be assesed after that as to if he has a future with us.

          he played 5 games last season off the bench.

          i guess giving him 5 games to play for a contract is a great incentive for him to perform.

          Could work in our favour !

                very very interesting but by no means a silly move imo. this guy had some decent raps on him for a while and just was never really able to hit his straps thanks to injuries, inconsistent team selections and a host of other anomilies. I think he is a big boy, pretty aggressive and has potential and with smithy at the helm anything is possible. Id call it an astute move and put it in the guerra category ie a young player with potential who has had injuries/not enough opportuinites as yet and might be worth developing and investing a bit of time in. If it pays off absolutley brilliant, if not well at least we had some extra depth when we needed it. Welcome jacob

                    He was the guy Hutch Maiva punched out in the gym as a 17 year old.
