Hmm, thought we could use a second rower more than a prop but good depth nonetheless.

We've got heaps of second rowers, you probably forgot about SKD....don't all our Centres end up in the second row...

Remembering that he couldn't get a start for the team that finished on equal points with us last year.

That could be for a number of reasons. Ricky plays his favourites for sure.

I think we need to trust O'Sullivan here. From what I'm seeing results-wise in the lower grades our recruitment policy is looking pretty good.

That might have been because he wasn't a backrower. Ricky prefers to play them up front rather then use specialist props!

I think he is a big boy, pretty aggressive and has potential and with smithy at the helm anything is possible. Id call it an astute move and put it in the guerra category ie a young player with potential who has had injuries/not enough opportuinites as yet and might be worth developing and investing a bit of time in. If it pays off absolutley brilliant, if not well at least we had some extra depth when we needed it. Welcome jacob
Spot on. The club must have had Jacob in mind for a while because Smithy/Noyce did say after the Ryles announcement that there could possible be room for another signing. Now with Mason gone and injuries abound they have pounced. Fortunately for us because a few clubs like Newcastle are on the lookout for this type of player.
I've no doubt that Brian can get the best out of him just like he did with some fringe 1st graders he brought to the Knights when he started there.

This is correct we did finish on the same points, however our lads weren't even trying, whislt Stuart & his sharks were busting their arse's to avoid the spoon. They even went into camp SOO style for the last game, some of our team were trying for 13 + loss, makes you wonder how shyte the sharks really are. This is probably why they are favourites for the spoon.

Funily enough whilst i agree with you to a certain extent i would probably recruit many of their players if given the opportunity. I believe that along with the warriors (rapira and packer) they have one of the best emerging frontrows in the game with douglas and snowden who both showed their pedegree last year despite their sides poor form. Anyone that doubts gallen's effort and ability is inept and when on song Toupu can be one of the best players in the game. I also wouldnt mind blake ferguson in particular featuring in our backline - massive potential and talent.

He moved to Wollongong and Choked to death on Coal Dust. All they could see was the whites of his eyes in the end
                              The REAL! Spanner, never forgotten.
