If he can stay fit Braith will have a cracker season

might be the right man for the captaincy, but he isn't the right man to have calling the shots in attack

You don't think Smith will leave that to Pearce?

I think that's spot on and o be honest Braith wasn't calling the shots last season anyway.

We will see him a little wider taking on the line more often with carney slotting in nicely

If Anasta's playing 5/8 he'll be calling some shots

Of course you would say that Billy, you make sense with your posts.....

Braith showed more heart last year that most of the team put together......why anyone with half a brain would want him gone is beyond me....

Was he looking for a quiet stairwell...?

Agreed, but then TOK doesn't have the benefit of half a brain, which is why he wants one of our most loyal and committed players gone from the Club ASAP.

All this before he's even played a game under Smith.

What happens with Braith after 2010 will happen, but for this season we need his experience leading our very young side.

phantom and novice, what happens if the club itself wants one of our most passionate, loyal and committed club men gone from the club sooner rather than later? After all, it's not as though they don't have the runs on the board in that regard - I'm thinking about Morley and Fitzy here.

Additionally, I thought the signing of Todd Carney sent a rather obvious message to the incumbent 5/8 and the coach is now faced with the dilemma of really fitting three into two. I hope it doesn't but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if something prematurely happens to Braith.

Both Morley and Fitzy were off contract when they left LR, and they left at season's end, not at the start or in the middle.

As I've said, when Braith's up for contract then it's between he and the Club as to what his future holds. But until his contract ends, I expect the Roosters to treat him with the respect he's always treated them with.

That's not correct...unless you have stats from a race that includes Finch...Mateo...Bird...Campese...Luke Lewis...Sutton...there probably is a couple of other 5/8's I missed that aren't speedsters...I'd say that there would be a close race amongst that bunch...

My point is Anasta is no slug...he's not the quickest...and can't be labelled the slowest unless you have facts...
