Conn into the starting team and Leulia added to the bench. I thought Koops was good in the early exchanges and it seemed to work well so I can't see Smith being too keen to change it.

Obviously not in the second row, but Ben Jones would probably come onto the bench.

How many minutes did each of our forwards play yesterday?

Did Mitch Aubbs or Myles get a rest?

Myles came off in the 73rd minute. He has certainly silenced those on here that claimed he was a bludger.

If anything, we should go for a like-for-like replacement.

If Symonds misses any time (hopefully just a couple of weeks if there is no ligament damage) I would bring in Takairangi, that big mobile backrower we bought from the Souths NYC team, or young BJ Leilua, who had a blockbusting game for our NYC team.

I wouldn't even think about shifting Braith, Carney or Pearce.

Kouparitsas did alright, but I still reckon we should be starting Jorbs, with Jones coming on as impact off the bench. Jorbs is more suited to the tough defensive role, and Jones is better at providing impact. Kouparitsas is the 2010 equivalent of Stuart Webb, an average fill-in lock/hooker who when the team is at full strength shouldn't rate a mention.

If Mitch Aubbs and Myles can put in that sort of effort each week it will cover for the loss of Fitzy...

Get used to Kouparitsas being named in Brian Smiths Easts team each week...

I said it earlier on. Koups will get better and will be a very integral part of this team. He is better to start and take the pounding in the first 15 and then Jorbs should come on and run amuck. And then replaced when he starts throwing Finchesque passes through his player's heads.

Yep me included - he played like a man possessed and a man looking to prove a point

I would give BJ Leulia a run, based on the way he played in the 20's yesterday. I think it's best to stay as close to the same team as possible. Would throw Guerra or Conn into the starting pack, and have BJ off the bench. All these suggestions about moving Anasta to second row etc etc will only disrupt things

Outstanding.. Amazing how a change in discipline off the field can lead to improved performances off it.

Sterling commented how even last year he was the only one chasing a lost cause when we were getting flogged.

Looking forward to seeing JWH in the tricolours.
