  • What a win

Been a long time since they produced an all round performance as good as that.

Myles - had a wonderful game, the chase on Merritt was amazing, and his low tackling was superb. Just about the best defensive forward in the comp

Carney - easily the best individual performance by a Rooster for a couple of years. Brilliant

Mitch Aubusson - defended magnificently, will start to run in the weeks ahead.

James Aubusson - very good, seems to have solved his passing from dummy half problems

SKD - Still can't believe his game. Ddidn't think he'd cut it as a centre - not sure if I've ever been more wrong. The move on Talanoa was fantastic

Pearce - best game for ages, took the line on and "played straight". Looked a lot less kick happy

Graham - liked the look of him a real lot

Agreed, that was the best game i've seen Myles play in any jumper.

We just have to keep level heads now & back it up again next week. We have to go back a long way to find the last time we won 2 in a row. It wouls be a huge shame to have that awesome performance & then let the next one slip away.

I was very, very impressed with Myles, and naturally Carney was the superstar he's always been. Pearce was definitely alot sharper and it was good to see him bring his trial form into round one, but I was most happy for SKD.

He looked and played like a centre. After the critisicm he copped last year (deservedly or otherwise), if he can put in consistent performances like yesterdays, he will be bloody fantastic for the Roosters and I couldn't be happier for him!

I'm no closer to coming to terms with the performance of SKD. I still think I might have dreamt it

You forgot to mention RYLESEE !!!! He had a great game too, despite all the death riders.

thought Ryles was just ok, but badly in need of the run. Will improve

Didn't come off after he went on.

                28 tackles
                1 miss
                4 offloads
                10 hit-ups for 91 metres

And the best part of all... 0 errors and 0 penalties.

Interesting that you were pleased with Pearce's game.

Your nickname is aimed at him is it not?

not him specifically, but certainly he's partly to blame (for the nickname)

If things continue as they did on Sunday though, I'll be officially changing my nickname to Tries off Line Breaks and Great Passes

all Pearce has to do to become a really good half is to take the line on more, kick less, and play straight

It is amazing what a coach that has a clue on how to run a team can do !
