As much as i enjoyed the opening round victory.. we are getting hyped up waaaay too much. Gould has noted that Smith's teams have always performed well away from the spotlight ie. as underdogs. I can't help but think all this publicity will be a bad thing for our form.

Well us fans on the forum are hyping up the win, mainly because it was against souffs.

But i think that smith will be able to find the players in the right mindset for the game. Apart from monday and tuesdays articles, i think we will see alot of articles written about the possibility of this weekends match being a classic match !!!

the great thing that i have read in the articles is the fact that each of the players/coaches have always refered to the New Attitude - New Begining.catch line, i think that is fantastic and shows that no matter how much the media try and inflate the roosters chances, smith will bring them back to the New Attitude - New Begining.

I had a pretty penny on them last weekend .. as i'm sure many others did! Infact, I was more confident about beating Souffs than I am about the Tigers this weekend.

So.. we'll see how we go!

I think we can beat Wests, but the funny thing is by the majority it will be seen as another 'upset' win. Personally I think it'll be an upset if Wests win.

I'm not so much pumping us up because this is exactly what I expected after the trial form and the great off-season. I always thought we'd be firing. Now our problem, as it has been since 2004 will be consistency.

I agree. Maybe Smith should try to stop the players reading the sports pages this week?

As long as we don't see a repeat of the corresponding round last year. had them in the first half, second half was The Benji Show. *shudder*

Tigpies are polar opposites to Souths. An underrated forward pack with some fantastic backs.

If we contain Galloway and Ellis in the forwards we win that battle. The backs they have a few danger men - Marshall, Lawrence, Tuquri in particular. Moltzen is hard to contain in attack but is woeful under the high ball - Anasta or Pearce bomb him and he'll drop at least one.

Should be a great match, Roosters in a close one.
