Bulldogs will give this game EVERYTHING they have, there's no way they want to start the season 0 from 3.

On form its a no-brainer. Canterbury look slow and tired (especially Kimmorley, who was dreadful on Friday). They've got a good (but ageing) pack but our forwards have been good so far. Where the Roosters should burn them is in terms of creating chances - Kimmorley is in poor form, Ben Roberts is inconsistent, whereas Carney and Pearce are going well.

If the Roosters turn up, then they should win this game well - who would have honestly thought that would be the case before the season started?

The dogs players are living on last years memories, while our players have forgotten all about last year. The style we play will run their big forwards into the ground, we have much more variety in attack now, more than St George by a long way, and look what they did to the dogs. I know they will be desperate, but it wont help. they will go back to what they know, playing up the middle and thinking they can run over us, if we can hold them there we have too much speed and too many options for them to handle for 80 minutes. It will come down to our forwards defence, and I really like what Ive seen from Conn, and the Aubs, and Miles. We can attack from anywhere on the field, I know I sound over confident, Ive tried to tone it down, but Im just saying from what Ive seen we will beat them, I cant see any other result.

Pearce & Carney are the best halves combo in the competition (after two rounds)... and Carney's a fullback. Speaks volumes really.

I'm not going into this game with any expectations, just like I've done the past two games. We have the ability to win, but it depends how we turn up on the day.

I guess i'm still scarred from last years disaster. Still not getting my hopes up yet.

I understand what your saying Chris, but let yourself enjoy the moment man, they are good, and they are ours........its great. They will have bad days, for sure, they wont win every game, but wait til they lose, and handle it then, all us supporters deserve to be smiling now.

I thought the press got carried away with the Roosters after the Souths game, imagine what they'll be like in the build up to this one!

Dogs will want to make a statement, I am worried tbh.

Carney, Pearce and Braith shouldn't have any issues creating points once we get anywhere near their tryline as the Turner/Idris/Noddy defensive combo is about as bad as it gets.

                    Easts 1 - 12.

I'm with you. 2 good wins puts a smile on my face, however until we play the likes of Melb, Parra and the Drags, I just cant get to carried away.
