  • How good is Maubs going....

very impressed with him at second row. Finally he is playing where he belongs. Was everywhere yesterday. Playing great!

22 year old who looks like he has been playing in the backrow at first grade level for 5 seasons.

    Love ya work Mitchell.

Going gangbusters, second row is his spot for sure.

Jaubs goes alright at dummy half too. He was giving great service and getting yardage out of there. I hope he gets more game time, he's showing lots of promise.

      Chook.

When JWH comes back, I would like to see Morbs at lock possibly, see if he can do what he is doing now on both sides of the ruck?

And either way, a backrow of:

        Hargreaves, Myles, Aubusson

        That is quite scary.

I think he is best suited to playing on the right hand side. Myles is playing a good lock's role and Symonds/Guerra can play second row on the left side.

          JWH can play front row.

Maubs is a perfect case of a player showing his true potential once he was played in his right position, he never really wanted to play center or 5/8th but never complained when asked too.

the club really needs to extend Jaubs contract we can't afford to let him get away, the current situation with Friend means Jaubs signature is a must, longer term a Friend/Jaubs rotation would be excellent.

Ryles was certainly showing his age yesterday, very slow compared to the rest of the forward pack, hopefully he will show his worth as winter sets on, wouldn't surprise to see his role limited to a 15 minute starting period and then a 15 minute pinch hit in the second half.

A more mobile pack with JWH,FPN,Jaubs,Symonds,Maubs,Myles playing the majority of minutes would be very competitive.

Ryles did okay yesterday considering that it was 33+ degrees and he was targeted bythe Tigpies. He had a sun stroke yesterday.

How good are our wide running forwards going?
Maubs, Guerra and Symonds to come back.
That palm off Maubs gave Farrah to put Pearce in and that right step, left step combo by Guerra for his try. Can't this bloke run a good line.
It's great to be a chook

Both Maubs and Jaubs are playing like men possessed !!!

You watch Jaubs when he runs, it is as if his shoulders grow into a cow catcher ready to steam through defences !!!

and Maubs, dare we compare him to Mr Perpetual Motion, Ray Price ???????

Maubs is going very well. Has been fantastic in attack as well. I was waiting for him to draw in the winger yesterday, then throw the flick pass to Perret. But he backed himself and fended off the winger

It's good to have his sort of mobility in the backrow!

Who remembers Maubs runaway try I think in 08, when he fended the winger 3 times?

It was against the Tigers aswel lol. Wonder if it was the same winger, would be quite funny if it was.

Maubs: Hey, I'm on break, who is coming up to tackle me... What ! You again?! LOL ! *fend fend fend fend*

LOL, that was a highlight that try.
MAubs is playing wonderfully well and Mr Smith is going to have selection headaches once JWH and Tom Symonds are fit.

                            Maubs for origin lock.

He will be NSW's version of Dallas Johnson
