There have been people who have been highly critical of the recruitment methods of Peter O'Sullivan but if the first couple of weeks of this season are any indication, then I think we are starting to see the benefits.
Aiden Guerra and Brad Takairangi have both looked quite good in their limited time, particularly Guerra. Its great to have a young unknown forward burst on to the scene at our club instead of us going out and purchasing players who have already made a name for themselves. Even much maligned players such as Daniel Conn and Nick Kouparitsas have done their part in helping us to consecutive victories for the first time since 2008.
It looks like he's trying to replicate the Melbourne Storm model where he picks 3 or 4 marquee players then picks the eyes out of the juniors and lower grade competitions to make up the top 25.
Lets hope that we see the emergence of a few more up and comers as the season progresses.
