  • The real turning points..............

Yes we got our arses whooped by the habibis, the dogs were no better than good, we were attrocious at best, but this game could have been so much differant.

1/ There is no ****en way FPN knocked the ball on, we had a 4 on 1 and definately would have scored, but called back.

2/ There is no ****en way it was a sheppard, Carney didnt even run behind the player, this created another 4 on 1 and we would have scored.

3/ In the lead up to morris's 1st try the bloke was tackled, a player still hanging on whilsthe was on the ground, the guy played on, next tackle try.
    (dubious at best)

This 10 minute period murdered us, from there the mistakes and dumb plays eventuated, kicking on the second, blokes in half gaps holding onto the ball.

33 of there 36 tries had an element of luck or extreme **** up on our part.

Most teams would have beaten the Dogs on todays performance, anything we could do wrong did go wrong.

Lets hope our blokes muscle up against an equally rubbish Broncos outfit(without falou)

Was not our day, bounce of the ball literally went against us in every way it could in the first half. Remember the Kimmorley kick straight into Anastas foot that was called player at? 6 again bulldogs, try next set.

There were a good 4-5 incidents like this in the first half that led to Dogs tries. The second half was pure gutlessness on our part though.

Finally, that was the worst display i have ever seen by any outside backs. Carney, Minichiello, Jones, SKD, Perrett - hang your heads in shame. All useless today.

Anasta and Pearce had a go, were trying to get something happening but those around them were offering nothing.

i want to know where the ref pulled this call from????

Carney passed the ball and did not run behind the decoy player.

the decoy player was just that, he ran past carney, sucked in the player. it was a poor defensive read and we were punished for this.

I thought it was given because the decoy runner ran into the Canterbury player

dont count on me on this, but what i saw on the replay paea or fp whoever it was, actually barged into the player.. will have to take another loook at it. but either way i still think it was just that a well disguised defensive error..

                That is exactly what happened.

thats fine, he barged into the player, but he did not change his line and the defensive player still attempted the tackle on the decoy.

As you said, it was a very well disguised defensive error.

I cannot agree, Carney imho definitely ran behind the decoy before passing the ball.. If he had of thrown the ball a second or so earlier it would be fine.

8 times out of 10 the refs will usually let it go, especially if it looks like the team is about to score (which we looked like), because he could refer it to the farken video ref. unfortunatley for us we were the 2 out of 10 where he called it... the dogs got away with it all afternoon especially when they were going to their flanks

the rule is stupid it has changed over the years and become a joke, it should only be a penalty when the defender is impeded when trying to make a tackle but like most rules now it depends which way the wind is blowing to see how it gets interpreted

thats the stupid thing, let the play run, if he belives there was an obstruction and we score, he can refer to confirm his suspicions.
