great signing imo. A lot like conn - played aust schoolboys league and union and has been touted as an absolute gem from a very young age. His move to the broncos plus injuries and inconsistent footy havent allowed him to flourish as yet but i recall foundly his form at the dragons prior to heading to the broncos and he was exceptional. Great leg drive in attack and runs good lines with a tidy offload and is a massive hitter in defence. perfect replacement for cherro imo. Under smith i really do believe his game can evolve and he can turn into an extremely competent player. Will definitely provide some aggression and power from the bench with JWH

Well actually you are right about JWH but thats about it
Some interesting stats from last year
Metres gained per minute played
Shane Tronc 2.4
Lopini Paea 2.07
FPN 1.72
and for comparison Ben Hannant 2.34
Tackles made per minute played
Shane Tronc 0.59
Lopini Paea 0.50
FPN 0.40
Ben Hannant 0.60
Runs made per minute played
Shane Tronc 0.32
Lopini Paea 0.25
FPN 0.23
Ben Hannant 0.28
Miss Tackles per minute played
Shane Tronc 0.040
Lopini Paea 0.035
FPN 0.038
Ben Hannant 0.060
Tronc is better than Paea and FPN and compares favourably to Hannant. He is underated and thats why the Broncos are after him. Certainly he is not lazy as you imply mate.

Tronc is definitely underrated, after missing out on Jeff Lima, Tronc would have been the next best signing. Another undervalued workhorse with plenty of size and ticker, who gets through the hard yakka regularly.
2004 - 18 games, 2 linebreaks, 30 offloads, 15 tackle breaks, average 39 minutes, 14 runs for 110 metres, 20 tackles for 1 missed
2005 - 27 games, 0 linebreaks, 31 offloads, 32 tackle breaks, average 43 minutes, 16 runs for 127 metres, 24 tackles for 1 missed
2006 - 21 games, 3 linebreaks, 36 offloads, 27 tackle breaks, average 43 minutes, 15 runs for 121 metres, 25 tackles for 2 missed
2007 - 17 games, 3 linebreaks, 25 offloads, 17 tackle breaks, average 49 minutes, 15 runs for 118 metres, 29 tackles for 3 missed
2008 - 18 games, 2 linebreaks, 21 offloads, 21 tackle breaks, average 45 minutes, 12 runs for 97 metres, 25 tackles for 2 missed
2009 - 24 games, 2 linebreaks, 47 offloads, 21 tackle breaks, average 48 minutes, 15 runs for 116 metres, 29 tackles for 1 missed
Very very good stats for the big man. Gets through a truckload of work, debuted midway through the 2004 season and was a fixture in the team regularly, churning through the runs and tackles up until 17 games into 2007, where he suffered a pretty severe injury that also curtailed the early parts of his 2008 season. He ended up finishing 2008 strongly however, and carried the good form into 2009.
Screw Ben Hannant, he is an overpriced money grub who has a sook about where he lives but ships himself off to whoever offers him the most regardless. The sort of props we should be looking at are guys like Shane Tronc, Matthew Scott, Jeff Lima, Nick Kenny, Luke Douglas or Chris Armit. These sort of blokes have got through LOADS of yards over the past seasons with minimal wraps, and wouldn't come with huge price tags. Nuuausala is worth persisting with in the long-run - he is still very young and raw - however at his age Paea should really be coming into his prime, yet he has been very lackluster and seems to have peaked under Fittler over late 2007 and 2008.
Next season, I think we need to look into purchasing a solid middle-aged prop (to compliment the younger explosive talents of JWH and Nuuausala, as well as the experienced Jason Ryles) with a very high workrate in both attack and defence. Someone like Tronc would be ideal.
Regarding Setu, however, I wouldn't mind seeing Smith do to Setu what he did to Fa'aoso. Fa'aoso was turned from an average first grader under Sticky and Anderson, into a very valuable strike weapon off the bench.
