I can't believe we had 60 missed tackles and 35% possession, of which we completed 50%!!!

It's a wonder we didn't have a century put on us, which would have happened if we had been playing a decent team, because the Dogs will NOT make the 8.

**** me, 60 missed tackles, that has got to be some type of record?

    Crikey.

We made 121 MORE tackles than the dogs,121, thats TWENTY more sets......NO ONE wins with that stat, 35% of possession, mostly from trying to play catch up footy, which we had to do.

          You want another stat ?

          Lopini - 45 min - 4 hit ups
          FPN - 53 min - 4 hit ups
          Mitchell Aubusson - 70 min - 4 hit-ups(My favourite)

Just as a comparison - Daniel Conn played 20 minutes, Double the runs of any of those clowns and just as many tackles. Half the time, double the effort. He is becoming one of my favourite players at this club.

How could our coconuts make any hit ups when every time we had the ball they were standing in the doggies defensive line trying to get back?
I will forgive Maubs. 70 minutes in that heat after losing all that weight last week. You can only do so much with 35% of the ball and 50% completion. He has done exceptionally well the previous two weeks.

Agree that Conn is becomnig a very good buy but if he was playing so well, how come he only got 20 minutes?

Well Daniel Conn is still a new recruit for us, IM assuming Brian SMith is slowing playing him week by week and giving him more minutes.

Conn is a great player for us, in the last 3 games Id give 100% fir effort and work rate, even if its only for the 20 minutes his on for.

Morbs' job isn't hitups. He only made 5 in Round 1 and 5 in Round 2. His job is cover defence, linebreaking, and giving our centres good ball.

The stats that worried me were:

Our props were all rubbish - Kennedy, Paea and Nuuausala had 15 hitups between them.

Our centres were destroyed - Jones and SKD struggled to contain Idris and Morris, and apart from Jones' try, they made barely any inroads in attack.

Our hookers are low standard - Jorbs is a genuine hooker but goes missing too often, and Kouparitsas is average

I will stand by the 1-6-7-13 combo of Carney, Anasta, Pearce and Myles, and I think we should persist with backrowers Morbs, Guerra, Conn and Takairangi,, at least until first choice forwards Symonds, JWH and the newly-signed Lagi Setu are all available again.

If he is only playing 20 minutes a game then I certainly hope that he deadset rips in for that whole QUARTER of the game that he played.

Our centres have been exposed again. I like Graham and I can't blame our little aborigine kid as he was never going to be able to handle Idris in a position that doesn't suit him. But for the size he is, SKD is the biggest wimp in the game pound-for-pound. Morris carried him around like a backpack yesterday. We need a strike centre which we don't have. But I hope Smithy considers replacing SKD with Symonds. He has the attack and defense we need out there. If not, give Williamson a go. SURELY he can't be any worse than SKD and at best we may find the strike power we need in the centres.

The poor defense was a team effort. They kept a great line. A great line that came forward 2 steps then stopped or even went backwards.

If the line had gone up, then the tackles would have been effective.

Yes, my bad, i read the stats wrong. Either way, he doubled their workrate in attack.

And the rubbish about Maubs not there for hit-ups - please, if you're in the forward pack, your job is to make metres. Especially if the team is on the backfoot and you're playing big minutes. No need for fringe running in our own 30.

Conn has been great for the past 2 weeks, he got players player last week and put in an effort yesterday.

Maybe conn has realised it is time to knuckle down and play some good footy
