  • return of the man beast JWH

its great to hear that they have set the round 6 clash against Canberra for his return, our forward pack certainly lacks an enforcer, there will certainly plenty of anticipation ahead of his first outing for the roosters, if he can show anything close to his form in the Tri-Nations and in the semi for the Eagles against the Storm last year where he single handedly took on the Storm pack by his self, he will be head and shoulders above the rest of our forward pack.

Just don't expect too much of the bloke too early. He will need to settle himself into the team and he and the playmakers will take probably a little time to work out where he should position himself to make the most of his talents.

Remember he had no involvement in the trials whatsoever.

JWH is a long term investment in the future. If it takes a few games for him to really hit his straps, that's no problem.

I don't think his game is based on what the playmakers do. His job is to play with aggression, not finesse.

Hargraeves will have to do it all on his own because Frank Paul and Lopini Paea just aren't good enough.

I was thinking more in attack than defence - I see him as a potential strike weapon as a hole runner if we utilise him properly.

Either way, we need to remember that he'll be feeling his way back into footy after a shoulder problem. I know he'll probably rip and tear in, but if he doesn't, then he shouldn't be criticised for it early in his comeback.

looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see JWH, roosters site reporting he wont be back till rd 6.

yer as the OP has stated.

I agree with NC, give hi msome time. I think we're all really excited about his return and have already placed undue pressure on the fella.. unfortuantely, yes, he will be our one and only enforcer it seems

                Understatement of the year.

At least someone has some sense!

I don't think it will be long until Ryles is added along side those two but to be fair he is only two games back but I don't have any expectation he will be anything other than a passenger **** right now I would bring the Yak back just to wheel it up for 20 minutes a game and give him Paea and Frank Paul's salary atleast he doesn't give a shit about his body and would be willing to roll the sleeves up everyone talks about Morley, Cayless, Ricketson, Fitzgibbon and Tupou from our golden patch but we miss the Yak the most we haven't had a forward with half of his heart since he left.
