  • What we have to learn

Todays game is getting quicker and quicker. And the bulldogs showed that you dont need too many big guys out on the field. We have a good squad to be able to do the same and we need to get it started now.
I think we should be aiming for a team looking like this
    1. Minichiello
    2. Perrett
    3. Williamson
    4. Kenny-Dowall
    5. Graham
    6. Carney
    7. Pearce
    8. Ryles
    9. Jaubs
    10. Myles
    11. Guerra
    12. Maubs
    13. Anasta

    14. Conn
    15. JWH
    16. Symonds
    17. Jones

Only one real big guy in there in Ryles. While Myles and JWH can play plenty of minutes up front. And with Guerra, Maubs, Conn, Symonds, these guys will tackle for you all day. Then throw Jones in with 20 to go to run like hell and we will definitely be a 80 minute hot or cold weather

I think you got the forwards pretty right...... Paea and FPN definitly deserve to go. Braith needs to get out of the backline. But I think Carney should stay at FB, and give jones a go at 5/8.

With Jones and Pearce you have 2 guys who are 20. I know pearce has experience and Carney's not too much older. But these two still have plenty to learn. Carney is a 5/8 and Mini is a FB. And both have been the best in thier position at some stage in they're career

I would put Symonds back in the centres to see how things pan out now we have setu.

          Myles at prop?

He's lost 50 kgs and been playing great for us... why fix something that isn't broke?

            1. Carney
            2. Perrett
            3. Graham
            4. Williamson
            5. Mini
            6. Anasta
            7. Pearce
            8. Ryles
            9. Jaubs
            10. JWH (I know he's played mainly in the backrow, but I think he can make the move to prop if need be, like Morley)
            11. Symonds
            12. Maubs
            13. Myles

            14. Conn
            15. Guerra
            16. Setu
            17. Jones

The less unfit, immobile Polynesians we have in our team the better.

Wasn't JWH purchased as a prop?
With Anasta, Carney, Pearce and Jones, the Roosters look unbalanced to my mind.

Neither Setu or Guerra are props, we need to have 2 props on the bench.

I honestly thought he was purchased as a backrower. But I'm of the opinion that he could easily chop and change if need be, as I said, like Moz

I was scratching my head to find another prop for the bench, but excluding the unfit and laterally challenged Paea and FPN, there really is no-one except for Kennedy, but I hear he's off to trial for Manchester United after his exploits on the weekend.

Personally, I think the lesser of two evils is having blokes who'll get stuck in and give you 80 quality minutes even if they are classed as "backrowers" as opposed to blokes who are labeled "front rowers" but don't actually fulfill the requirements of a front rower. So I decided on mobility, explosiveness and work rate until we get another prop of any worth.

I'm currently faxing this team to Smith and i'm sure he'll take it on board.

                      Please, no Jones... seriously.

Leave the team as it is
You will have to wait for this side to develop
Once Heargraves comes in they will be better for him
Also they have to fins a forward who can put his hand up that can make 40 tackles a game.
