Yep, Anasta isn't playing his best. And I'm a huge Braith fan so this worries me.

I don't suppose one of you blokes is the moron in bay 13 who yelled out "you aren't a playmaker koops! Get awayfrom the ball!" just before he put carney through?

Don't know why the hate for him. He put in one dud kick against the tigers and the bigger idiots amongst our fans also attribute conn's kick against souths to him (conn, koops, they're all ****ing wogs right?) and all of a sudden he is a dud?

He, Myles and jaubs owned Brisbane in defence, plus he laid on a try and made a linebreak. You'd have to be a very hard or very biased marker to say he played poorly last night

RIP NRL it has nothing to do with his name you goose.

He is an ok backrower at best but definately not a half or hooker. Our attack in the second half was stifled because every second play he was at half or hooker.

For those insinuating that I am against him because of race a) I dont appreciate that and b) pull your farking head in

That man should take a bow, the countless amount of times he literally stood directly in front of Pearce or Carney and took the ball out of their hands as he jumped into first receiver was driving me up the wall.......our attack was shiiiiiet in the second half due to this guy getting in the way. He needs to either find a position or be farked back to Newtown ASAP, we don't need some dick playing 4 positions by himself.

Koops is part of that scourge in the NRL called the "utility player". This is the guy who is too average to be a half, too soft to be a forward and too precious to be a hooker. The game is filled with these people who are not able to find a position - we have a few in our squad. Soliola, Sa were two with big raps but could never get there.

I will take a hard working second rower over these playmaking pretenders any day.

I want a few more Mitch Aubos and a few less Koops!!

Have to agree on that one. Seems like someone may have told him he has great ball skills or something????

But that's exactly the issue. He'll spend the game trying to be a playmaker, **** up a couple of things with terrible passes or god forbid a kick, and then throw a sublime short ball to make me eat my words. Just play as a ball playing second rower ffs, he's no hooker and he's certainly no half.

Koops goes alright. He is finding his place in the team, and with regular selection and decent coaching will be very handy for us. Put it this way, with teh exception of Sam Thaiday, Koops was better than any other Brisbane forward. That wasnt hard though...

i think the majority of the people in this thread are well over their heads. We had one workhorse last year, went by the name of Fitzy, and he was the only person who always tried in attack (besides pearcey) and the only one who consistently made 40 tackles each week, and we adored him for it.

this year, he's gone, and our whole team are pulling their socks up. STOP BAGGING OUT PLAYERS WHO ARE TRYING! I thought, that along with Carney, Myles, Kenny-Dowall and JAubussoon, he was one of our best. Never stopped working, was sure in defence, made a linebreak, linebreak assist, then put carney through the hole for his try.

instead of bagging him, giv the guy a wrap, not many players did as well as him last night.

                            agree.

Its clear that Smith told him to test his ball skills around the ruck last night - he did -and the result was that his play put the game beyond reach at a point in the game where we looked dusty to say the least.

I'm with you on this one...I don't know why people are bagging him out when he's performed well so far this year...we're 3 wins from 4 games...he's played a hand in some good defense and has laid on the last pass for 2 tries so far in the 4 games...he's a good worker and offers more than just a dumb hit up forward does in attack...anyway with the injury list we have you better get used to Koops in FG for some games yet...
