well looks like the forward pack too another beating today:

    - Martin Kennedy ended the day on crutches (knee ligament injury) and will be gone for a minimum several weeks.

    - Daniel Conn the club is very concerned about his back injury, hence the immediate x-ray, will be out for a while.

    - Phil Graham has a knee ligament injury and will be out for a while as well

    - Tom Symonds very dissapointing to see he is still in a knee brace, there is no way he will be back for Anzac Day.

    - JWH hopefully he will return against the raiders in two weeks, we are now desperately short in the forwards

    - Leilua was next in line as a backrower replacement has a fractured foot and is out for 8 weeks

    - Cherro and Cordner out for the season with knee reconstructions.

    - Ryles always been injury prone, can't rely on him being back on the park any time soon.

don't be surprised to see Carl Webb signed during the week he was today dumped from the cowboys lineup for this weekend, I personally think he is a waste of space, but it is now a matter of fit bodies.

      Then there's ...
      - Myles with concussion
      - Paea with some kind of back problem
      - Anasta with a heavily strapped left arm

The Roosters won but have paid a hefty price it would appear.

What is wrong with Martin Kennedy? He was peddling the exercise bike for the last 20 minutes of the game, so I thought he must've just got a cork

Sydney Roosters forwards Daniel Conn and Martin Kennedy have suffered injuries in Friday night's win over the Brisbane Broncos, having scans after the game.

Daniel Conn's scans revealed kidney bruising after he suffered a blow to his back. He may miss the game against the Penrith Panthers but is expected to heal quickly.

Martin Kennedy has a partial synders mosis in his ankle and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Thanks for posting that news fletch - Conn's result is better than I was expecting and Kennedy's worse. Finding it odd that there is no mention of any other players.

Moujalli? He isn't even a Rooster - they would definitely play Tinirau Arona, Mose Masoe or Isaac Maliota ahead of him. Ryles should be fit by next week though.

The way Smith seems to be viewing things, I would suspect that he would select Jones (who played centre v Bulldogs) or Tuigamala (who has been called up as cover for the backline in Rd1 and Rd2) instead of Linnett.

On merit I would go for him over Arona and Masoe who cannot make the starting side in reserves. Maliota should have to prove himself at Newtown before being promoted especially as he is a forward. I'm sure Moujalli and Deeb played for us even as Newtown contracted players before.

I would hope linnett is seen as a better option as he has the form on the board at Newtown and killed it in under 20's last year. Jones is not a centre and would be more than handy of the bench. Tuigamala is injured atm I think.

Anyway if Ryles and Conn are available I'd leave out Moujalli and Takiarangi

Looks like Kouparitsas will now be used in the backrow with Jorbs playing 80 minutes which I think benefits the team.

I understand your point, however my point was that Smith would be very unlikely to pick that team. He seems to have his favourites early on.

I agree regarding Kouparitsas. I much prefer seeing a hooker rotation of Jorbs and Jones, with Kouparitsas being used much like Symonds and Morbs and Guerra as a hole-hitting, mobile backrower with ball skills.

I thought he may have copped a stray broncos knee in 'that' tackle. I'd say that confirms it.
