I'm farked if I know how some people on this forum seem to rate SKD and Jaubs, and shit-can guys like Kennedy , Jones and Kouparistis

I'm now hearing that Jaubs should be moved to the backrow.

the fact is that Jaubs has been a dissapointment. He was bought here to replace Wing and has failed to cement a spot in hs favoured position since he arrived.

In my books he will be flat out getting his contract renewed.

Now i'm reading he should relocate to the 2nd row.

      for farks sake

*Sigh* - why do I bother with you ToK? You said his only position is 9 - this is bullshit. His best game in an Easts jersey is at 7 against the Bulldogs in 2008 - this is also his favoured position and where he was sometimes used under Bellamy at Melbourne.

He is indeed a moderate 9 because it's not his position! (sort of like how Manly used Michael Monaghan at 9 when he was a better half as well)

If Ben Jones could take the defensive load I actually think he could be a better 9, add in Friend (if he returns) and Samuela always improving and Jaubs could find it very hard to make the team come 2011.

I think the issue with Jake is not what he is, but what he might become. Not every player is an instant superstar. He just turned 20.

I'd be rushing Jake straight back into FG hooker...he would complete our 9 ,7 , and 1 combination...I don't care if he likes a drink...a lot of people do...he can play and play well...that should be all that matters...**** all this political correctness regarding footballers...

The problem is it all goes hand in hand.. Vasco was another one who didn't get it. If you play up off the field you won't perform on it at or near your best.. The very best may get away with it like Johns, but even he suffered to an extent. The mere mortals like Friend and Myles couldn't perform to their best.. Once off the drink you can see the change in Myles performances and in particular, fitness levels.

Jake Friend will not be allowed to play for the next month. From what I was told, he has only begun training with a view to start playing in the next month or so. I've been told he's been ruled out of any return to NRL football this season but it'll be interesting to see what happens if our hookers go down injured during the year.

i actually heard he has been doing some training with the boys for a while now and the club were keeping it low key. not sure if it was true but that is what i heard anyway.
