The game plan against the Roosters is the gameplan we use on other teams - dh running out of our own half then expansive football.

Fittler has given nothing away.
He knows and we all know, the easiest way for Penrith to beat the Roosters is to put Fittler in the Roosters side.
He choked nearly every time we played themThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

It seemed that nearly everytime Freddy played against Penriff and Craig Gower, he came off second best. He was a superstar against everyone except Penriff. And especially if Gower was playing, he was doing a Freddy on Freddy!
Some stats of Freddy's playing career against Penriff:
1996-2004. 14 games. 6 wins. 8 LOSSES.
Freddy's coaching record against Penriff:
2007-2009. 4 games. 2 wins. 2 losses.
(one loss in 2009 included the masterstroke of putting Anasta at fullback and we got smashed 48-6)
Freddy and the word 'gameplan' in the same sentence, give me a ****ing break. If his football instincts as a player could be transfered into coaching, he would be a world beater. Loved ya as a footy player, but for ****s sake shut the **** up. You sound more intelligent when you don't open your mouth!

I don't think gameplans were ever Freddy's problem as coach. When you don't have the respect of the players I dont think it matters what your plans are.
I think 07-08 is a good example of his football brain in action, 09 is an example of his maturity and management "skills"

To everyone telling him to shutup, show me one sentence in this article that doesn't have relevance or truth in it?
Sure, he didn't cut it as a coach, but we've all seen first hand how good his footballing brain is, and if he wants a career in the media, good luck to him.

One of life's many mysteries I guess.

Freddy is right.
It'll be Myles doing all the dirty work up the middle. We have the laziest props in the world. Butterball and Danny Glover. if The Conn and Skinny Prick 1 play and help Myles and Skinny prick 2 then we are a chance. Our props will cost us.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

But that doesn't mean the knowledge isn't there. I can't stand seeing people tear into him like this. He is a legend of the club and the game. As I've said numerous times, the guys got a good footy brain, and is far better than some of the other commentators going around (see Tallis), yet people will have a go at him because he had a bad season as a coach. It's bullshit.
Oh, and I don't think Freddy "led" us to the spoon. The players played as large a role as Fittler, if not moreso. I've no doubt that if there was a real want in that team to avoid the spoon, at pretty much any point in the season, right up until the last game, we could have done it, no problem. But unfortunately, only a select few actually cared (Fitzy, Perret, Anasta etc.) whilst the majority of others (Mason and co.) just sat back and waited to get payed. Freddy wasn't a good coach in 09, but he sure as hell didn't lead us to the spoon.Last edited by BlindFreddy; 04-08-2010, 12:16 PM.
