Ryles isn't even playing at 100% & he still shits all over Paea & FPN..

Marty Kennedy was better than them last week & he had busted ligaments!!

they're all soft as butter - we've met two decent forward packs this season and been on the receiving end of thrashings both times.

too much sideways dummy half running - where are the big men making the 10-12m runs and getting the roll on? countless times today our three quarters ran from dummy half for the first 3 or 4 rucks before any of the forwards took a hit up.

      I agree with you.

      Ryles was solid.

Dogs pack is garbage, they out enthused us all over the field.

Same happened with Panthers, they just kept the pressure on through our errors.

As the the D/H running, that has been Smith's game plan from round one. It works well provided we don't make too many errors. Hell, any plan works best when there are no errors commited.

In the first half hour today, penrith constantly found themselves camped in our half because their big pack would make 10m every run, they put in a kick that finds space, carney runs it back to the 10m line. Perrett has a run, SKD has a run, mini has a run = tackle four, 25m out from our own line, and the forwards havent touched it.

if they're not making yards, its a terrible plan - we need forwards to grind out 10-12m runs, civoneciva/fitzgibbon style. sitting behind the goals today really illustrates how much these dummy half runners go sideways with very little gain.

We've been like that for the last three weeks. The Broncos were killing us in yardage but kept dropping the ball which is what saved us.

The dummy half running needs to be working in conjunction with hard running forwards (if only we had some). Our game plan is too one-dimensional and too easy to read and prepare for.

Throw in the fact we couldnt hold it long enough to get to a kick and when we did, pearce had a target on cootes infant sized chest, he found it enough bloody times

We didn't get to tackle four today. One of our backs dropped it by then.

true about the kicking game - coote was very good today, but as you say, he was given enough chances by one dimensional kicking smack bang to his chest every time. we hardly reached our kicks for half our sets, and when we did, either pearce or anasta hit coote on the chest or bloody kouparitsis decided to attempt a chip and chase, i think i even saw myles have a crack at a kick!

                    You have nfi!

The backs let our pigs down today, badly! They knew they had to hold the ball to give our forwards a chance today and they farked it up, BADLY!!

Our forwards worked hard today only for the "skilled and slick" backline to drop the pill.

Here's an idea, buy a farkin clue.

                    Chook.

The very first set of the second half, the two props and two second rowers took until the third tackle to join the line. it was left to the wingers to run one out from dummy half in that set.

I'm not saying the backs were great, but this was literally one minute after the half time break, and the 'pigs' couldn't be bothered running back to take a hit up. this happened numerous times throughout the match.

the whole team was shite, but the forwards did very little work, and the work they did was soft.

So where were the forwards when the backs had to ruck it out of our own half??

in 4 of 5 games this season Paea has failed to play 50 minutes or more, he has not made 100 metres in any game, has only made 94 tackles in 5 games, and had only made 1 off load all season

he needs to be dropped at least to the bench

FNP's stats aren't particularly impressive either... his minutes aren't too much more than Paea's and he has only made 100+ metres in one match

fix the front row and pair Carney and Pearce in the halves, the Roosters will go great guns

I think what he is saying is that the blame lies with the backs as much as the forwards.

Actually his post blames the backs for not holding on until the props got off their arses & got back to our own line...

The backs were under pressure because the props wouldn't get back & do their job..
