  • Sydney Roosters vs. Canberra Raiders - Pre-Game Discusson, Predicitions and Poll

After a horrible return back to the losing list, the Sydney Roosters take on a side who managed to win their first game away from home this season. While this match will be important for both teams to get the two points, it's Todd Carney who will get the headlines when he takes on his old club at his new home ground.

Please vote in the poll and give us your predicitions for the match, including who you think will win, by how much, who will be the players to keep an eye out for and what each side needs to do to win the game. Cheers and go the Chooks!

If we want to bounce back from sunday's perforance we need to reduce the errors coming out of our own half.

If we control the possession they will fold like a chair.

They are an erratic team and are at their best when the other team plays the same

It's impossible to know which Easts team or which Raiders team will turn up........if both are on this could be one hell of a match, if one is off the other will get pumped, if both are off......SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZE.

I have not been confident about the team since the second half of round 2.......please EASTS.

Yeah...the "Go Easts" thread should be re titled "Please Easts"...

I'm not sure on this game as Canberra have some great young attacking players...I like watching them play when they go for it...if the Roosters come out and show some commitment and the same enthusiasm Canberra show it will be a good game and we may just pip them at the post...

JWH was expected to return for this match, wasn't he?

So is Tom Symonds I believe. God we need those two. Can't wait to see JWH.

spot on with this post, read my mind really. The last three weeks we have not fired a shot.

Carney needs to be 5/8, Mini to fullback, JWH and Tom Symonds are required urgently

I think Braith has been one of our best over the past few years, he is coming back from a serious injury so I will give hi some time before giving him too much of a hard time

If Carney moves to five-eighth and Mini moves to fullback, how will the team ru-shuffle?

                  Myles to backrow?

                  Morbs/Symonds to centre?

                  Graham/SKD to wing?

                  We will be changing:

                  1. Carney
                  2. Minichiello
                  3. Graham/SKD

                  6. Anasta

                  12. Aubusson
                  13. Myles

                  ...to:

                  1. Minichiello
                  2. Graham/SKD
                  3. Aubusson

                  6. Carney

                  12. Myles
                  13. Anasta

Well put, elo, difficult game to pick.

These sides are both so erratic you'd expect the Raiders to fold after having to play Monday and travel in consecutive weeks, and the Roosters to aim up like they did after the Canterbury match.

                    If this happens: Roosters 13+

Look Boiz all I know is if we can't beat Canberra this weekend at HOME, with a longer turn around than them we have MASSIVE ISSUES and have no chance off beating teams like : bulldogs, St george, melb.

There's no excuses if we loose this weekend.

CLEARLY we surely must have a better football side than them.

Im all out panic if we loose.

                      GO THE CHOOKIES

I'll tip the Chooks on this one. I honestly think Canberra's young players will be too much to handle out wide if they play to their potential with the likes of Josh Dugan, Daniel Vidot, Joel Thompson and Jarrod Croker. Add Terry Campese and they will play a very expansive game. BUT having said that, they are terrible on the road and for that very reason I think we will get up.

                          Roosters by 1-12

I'd be a lot more confident if Kouparitsis wasn't named at hooker. Can only hope his stint there will be short and relatively mistake free. And that he has been told not to kick under any circumstances.

Roosters 1-12. I'm not sure Canberra are capable of winning 2 away games in a row. I'm certainly hoping they can't.

Not sure what to expect from our blokes, they've developed a bit of a Jekyl and Hyd character recently. And haven't played well since the Tigers game. Time to show some good form boys.

If we play to our abilty, like we did against the Rabbitohs and Tigers, then we should win comfortably. If we play like we have in the last couple of weeks, we will be beaten. But I have faith.

                              Roosters 13+
