  • Cherro

A mate of mine spoke to Cherro last night. He is improving better than they thought and he expects to be back this season.

He would be a great asset for a charge in the finals - or to try to avoid the spoon.

I thought ACLs are a minimum 6-9 months rehab. How the hell can a big fella like him come back so quick?

He told me only 3 weeks ago that he might be back this year if we make the semis....

Improving quicker than was expected is often of short term gain, long term pain.....

I'm sure the medical staff know what they are doing.

One would hope so, hey....after all its the guys lively hood we are talking about....

But occasionally they have been known to rush these things.....And a young guy wanting with all his heart to be back on the field can also be known to tell the medical staff that they are feeling a lot better than they actually are.....

The rehab period is ridiculously short with this surgery..

I agree, it would be foolish in the extreme to risk him again this season. He is only 22 or so. Why take a chance on what at worse case could lead to a career ending injury in what would be such a low percentage situation.. ie; rushing back into a finals match with no game time or match fitness under his belt having not played for 7 months. To add to this our realistic chances of going deep into the finals would be slim.. I say give him the additional break from full contact and have him 100% ready for the start of next season.

He didn't.. That surgery is still pretty high risk and has been used by a couple AFL players..

You make a LOT of sense here mate and I totally agree with you.

Cherro, see you in 2011 FULLY fit and raring to go. You may have your work cut out getting back into the team but I think that may be a good thing to knock any complacency and apathy out of you.

Yes Cherro will be back soon, i seen him in a dream riding a camel, And i asked him,

Oh lord chorroton of bondianala, What shalt bring ye here,

he replied, I sleepith this enni for here is a demon of paramainia in my legith,

And i replied IN A LOUD VOUICE, ''YE SHALL NOT PASS''

So then he jumped off the camel, Put on a Roosters jersey and started chopping down trees with an axe.

i also sore JWH bashing a tree cause it blew wind onto him.

A weird looking character by the name of'' Sonic Smegal'' was running hiding behind rocks trying to listen in.

So we can conclude from this vision that indeed Cherro will be back this year.
