i completely agree. manly vs. melbourne last night was a perfect example. melbourne like the dragons are methodical and very well coached except melbourne not only play a low error nad grinding style but have the inglis' and slaters' who can rack up the points which saints dont. if we take it to them up front i think we can unsettle them big time and screw them over. i dont think they can play from behind because i dont think they have the quality in their halves in particular to do so. its good to see everyone has woken up to themselves about soward and how he actually does very little. hornby is no halfback either and morris is only effective as a finisher - on the end of good ball so i think the key is for hargreaves, myles and ryles in particular to go out and absolutley take it to them up front. if we can do that and not give away silly penalties/make too many errors; our attack will turn it on and carve them up. once on the backfoot i think they will struggle. that said, i wouldnt exactly say i am confident about our chances but if we can do the little things right and fire up up front, i dont think they will offer too much at all
manly did it last night with a way worse team on paper than melbourne and even i dare say than us in some respects and melbourne are far better than the dragons. BS has it in him as a coach to get that out of us. heres hoping

If we want to win we need to hold the pill, like we havent done for the past 4yrs.
And defend especially in broken play. Coward just waits for that few seconds lapse in concentration and carves away.
Play for 80 mins, cos we know The Stains will.
Big ask really at this stage IMO.

Just looking at the 2 sides named, gives me hope.
I think they look pretty ordinary on paper. Our backs have them covered, and our forward pack looks really good.
To me, Bennett has them playing to their strenghts really well. The just grind away, and wait for teams to fold. Unfortunetly our team is a team that can fold with the best of them.

I'm looking forward to the clash in styles - the Roosters are rocks and diamonds, the Saints consistently grind the opposition out of the contest.
If its an open game I give the Roosters a chance, but I suspect the Saints forward pack might muscle our pack out of it. Having said that, their bench is average - if we can stick with them early on, we might have a crack at overrunning them late on.FONK
