there's talks of the Tigers signing cronk as well.. but i sort of doubt that rumour. If i was a rebuilding storm, Cronk and Smith i'd look to keep. Inglis could go for all i could care due to his inconsistencies

I, for one, would welcome Jeff Lima, Adam Blair, Aiden Tolman and Ryan Hinchcliffe to the Roosters.
It is obvious that Brian Smith prefers to have a utility hooker/lock starting the match before a genuine hooker is brought onto the field. He did it with Riddell at Parramatta, and he also did it with Matt Hilder at Knights. He is trying to do it with Kouparitsas, but Koops doesn't have the consistency, nor the defensive workrate, to pull off this role. Hinchcliffe would be an ideal bargain signing to start at hooker, then when Jorbs, Jones, Friend, Brunton or whoever comes on the field, Hinchcliffe can shift into the backrow rotation.
Blair would be an ideal backrower if Cherrington has difficulty finding form after his injury. He is in a similar mould - a large, mobile offloading backrower with a penchant for hitting holes. He would have a great combination on the right hand flank, linking up with fellow NZ internationals SKD and Sammy P.
As for Lima and Tolman, well...with Ryles nearing the end of his career, and Paea not finding consistent form, these two props with HUGE tickers would be great assets to our team. Tolman would ideally replace Paea as the grit to compliment FPNs impact, while Lima would provide experience.

If we were on the market i'd only want Tolman, Mack.
Lima will be looking for a decent contract. I'd favour Tolman more mate.
Blair is a typical islander, plenty of aggression but goes into his shell too much.
Hinchcliffe is a solid player but there are plenty like him playing reserve grades around the league.

Hinchcliffe is Riley Brown MKII. We underrated his contribution SO much, but every single game he played for us, he was basically error free, missed little to no tackles at all, and played his heart out.
The value of having Blair IMO, would be a club + international flank combo of Blair/SKD/Perrett. Imagine Carney throwing a cutout pass to Blair, hitting a hole on the fringe and drawing 5-6 defenders, before offloading to a flying SKD who streaks down the field before promoting the ball to Sammy for the finish. That is what we need, a large ballplaying backrower on the right hand edge. The on the left I would have Morbs, Graham and Mini.

On Adam Blair, I wouldn't mind having him at the club to be honest but I just think we've already covered the backrow spots, unless he comes to the club and plays in the front row. There's a lot to like about Blair because he is quite skillful and is a smart footballer, qualities I think Lopini Paea and Frank Paul-Nuuausala don't have.

I'd rather have Symonds as a ball-playing second rower, still young, Roosters bred, tough lad.
Chrrington/Guerra/JWH(if he eventually gets into 2nd row)/ Maubs.
Plenty of backrowers, i'd be looking more at props --> looking to spend decent coin.
I'm sick of paying overs for 'established', international players. I'd rather pick someone young, who we can mould into a clubman. It's a bigger gamble, but at least we won't go through the transit lounge days. At least the young blokes will play with some heart.
Agreed on Hinchcliffe, he is a tough player. I just think we're full in that area. Plus i think we can find another like him with no fuss.

Can we have the Jets backrow for 2014 please? You're only allowed to bracket a maximum of 9 players in each position...
