You really beleive that the players knew nothing of this??????

    Like Bellamy had no knowledge.

here billy sign this contract for 400k a season, now sign this other one for 550k a season, this 400k contract is for tax purposes, dont worry about the other one.

    What absolute bullshit

Look, Searle chased big time for Smith to go to the Titans, reports of upwards of 500k, the storm openly admitted they could only offer 400max including 3rd party payments.

Smith stayed "to win premierships" Searle suggested the possible use of untoward activity, but everyone put it down to sour grapes.

Cam Smith is the new Slary Cap rorting Steven " i know nothing, im a good guy" Price.

I do not begrudge any bloke for earning as much as they think they are worth, doing it deceitfully and then pleading innocence is where i draw the line.

The club's investigations had identified five former and current (until yesterday) executives who had known about the alleged book cooking; Hanson, Waldron, chief financial officer Paul Gregory, former chief financial officer Cameron Vale and former recruitment officer Peter O'Sullivan. Hanson had been stood down, along with Gregory. Schubert is believed to have been tipped off by a former Storm employee.

      DID THEY KNOW?

Brian Waldron: former Storm CEO, who quit Melbourne Rebels today

Peter O'Sullivan: former Storm recruitment manager, now with Roosters

Cameron Vale: former Storm CFO, now with North Melbourne Kangaroos

Paul Gregory: Storm CFO (expected to stand down today)

Matt Hanson: Acting Storm CEO (stood down yesterday)
      Doesn't sound good.

And replace the best in the business with whom? you numbskull of epic proportions.

Honestly TOK, why do you do it? Why do you come out with outlandish comments? Let me guess, just to sound controversial. Do you then go off to another room and flog yourself silly?

Over the next couple of years when the likes of Cordner, Cheyse Blair, Ethan Lowe, BJ Leilua, Dane Atkinson etc.... are playing fine football at the top level, remember who recruited them to our club from a young age.

        Crawl back into your shell.

Enlighten us, who is the best in the business? What's wrong with POS?

Oh, that's right. You don't have a clue. Wouldn't know a logical argument if it cracked you one square on the nose.

Why did he leave the Storm in the first place?

He probably wanted to return to Sydney to be closer to his kids.
We were in a tug-o-war with his junior club the Dragqueens for his services. In the end, Godfather Nick made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Nick is always after the best in the business (both in league and in the corporate world) and he usually gets what he wants.

The problem has not been with recruitment anyway, its been with player retention
The Internet is a place for posting silly things

He had the biggest cheque book.. You do realise all these guys like Falou, Inglis, Hoffman etc were chased by about a dozen clubs and they signed with Melbourne because simply they paid them more money. Even POS openly admitted they offered youngsters more money than other clubs.

First of all I don't know where you're getting the information from that the Storm got players to sign two contracts?? They had two separate books but that doesn't mean two separate contracts.

I think the players deserve the benefit of the doubt, if they knew then it'll no doubt come out but until then like every Australian they deserve to be innocent until proven otherwise. Certainly more than a few theories anyway.

But hey a well weighted argument from someone who obviously dones't hold grudges of any bias against players like yourself pearcesworstnightmare should always be taken seriously.

Money gets any player, but plenty throw money in the wrong direction. Sounds simple sitting behind a computer but his extensive knowledge of every youngster running around right now is quite freakish. If you ever talk to him or have talked to him you will know exactly what I'm talking about... he leaves Artie for dead.

He made his name at St George before going to Melbourne, something plenty seem to fortunately forget. I think so far he's done a decent job at the Chooks, I guess it's hard to evaluate right now but so far we've seen a good start in the likes of Hargreaves, Cordner & Leilua who are all developing and progressing nicely.

Look at the junior nursery the Dragons have.. Is it like they stopped churning out talented youngsters since he left? Comparisons to Artie are meaningless.. Artie has no talent identification skills at all.. POS didn't discover Hargreaves, Cordner or Leulia either... These guys were all stars for their respective NRL junior teams.. Absolute standouts.. As far as talent identification goes.. The best youngster I saw at the Roosters in the 2007-2008 period was James Tamou.. He was a standout and where is he now? Playing for the Cowboys... He had a huge game tonight but he should still be in our colours...

So What Peter O'sullivan can't recruit players who have already been 'discovered'? He is now somehow different to every other recruitment manager in the league? He still has to spot the talent and then get them to sign like everyone else... you're very quick to discredit him.

POS is getting us some very good juniors whether anyone has heard of them or not and at the end of the day isn't that his job?

James Tamou was noticed a long time before he signed for our club, the Broncos and Cowboys both made plays for him at the same time we did. He went back to the Cowboys because he was homesick, that's the negative side of signing out of statae or overseas players.

Also would just like to know who discovered Boyd Cordner?

You are just making this all up.. Tamou is a born and bred kiwi who played reps for junior NZ.. Came and played for Paddo Tigers and then the Roosters... Cordner was signed from the Knights.
