Formerly Frank the Tank, now more like thomas the tank engine.

Has he got even more lazy and ineffective, could not bust a grape today. Had high hopes a couple of years ago that he would turn into a dominant prop. **** I was wrong. He does not bend the line in attack. And even though his tackle count was good today, most of them was him coming in as the 3rd tackler or just flopping on someone already on the ground. His fitness looked shit. Time to go FPN you lazy slug.

      Crikey.

I thought SKD did a good job in defence and showed a lot more promise with the ball than Graham did

          Could not agree more.

The difference between the first 20, with Paea and FPN wandering around the pitch, and the 20 mins before half time, with Brunton giving excellent service to JWH and Ryles who broke the advantage line every carry, was undeniable.

And to all the supporters of Kouparitsis... please, have a good look at your man's performance today.

If you don't believe me, ask Myles: he justifiably gave Kouparitsis a right old spray after passing the ball about a foot above his left shoulder while we were camped on their line.

          This pretender must go.

spoke to Tom before the match. 2 weeks away. Shoulder ok. Appears he also has something wrong with his knee.

Seems a real top bloke. A future leader and a credit to his parents.

i'm guessing that the game live and the game on tv were very different, because indeed SKD was very ordinary, but have read such different reports here!

The commitment was there. As far as I am concerned, it is not a case of FPN or Anasta, or Koups who didn't stand up, The commitment was there from ALL.

The knockers on this site will blame a few, but our team as a whole produced today, the best we can.

I will not sit on my lonely computer, and bag my boys, who as far as I am concerned really had a go.

They are the benchmark, we, at this stage are the also rans.

I sat with my Bronco mates in Brisbane, and had pride in our jersey today.

To all those who will sit on there keyboard and cast judgment, about OUR team. Wake up to yourselves. This year we are commited, a team on the up, and to me, I am proud of the of what we are doing.
                  +1.

They showed some grit today in defence. FPN and Paea (as well as JWH and Ryles) showed some hard running up the middle in the first half. I was well pleased by the attitude for most of the game. As long as we keep this attitude up and don't have a Penrith or Dogs day I think we'll do OK this season.

Lets face it, this season we are a middle of table team, St George, for all the choking they'll get done in September, are a good shot at minor premiers, especially as their major competition for that prize has eliminated themselves. I don't think Manly are up to their standard; who else is?

                    Sums the day perfectly.
First time I've seen JWH, he was awesome and is a massive unit. Hopefully the 2 up front watch his performance and try to replicate a bit of his aggression. That flying tackle on Soward was very Morleyish.

Watched Newtown on Sat, and while Charlie and Mose are also big units, I can't see them doing any better, so Bwian will need to work some magic on the mob we've got.

He's right. People forget that last year, we won the spoon. As in, we were the WORST team in the comp. Now, we come up against the best team in the competition, and for forty minutes, we were better than they were. We outplayed the benchmark team in the first half. We couldn't keep it up in the second, but that's to be expected... it is why Bennett is such a good coach. His teams play 80 minute football, of a high stand, week in, week out. It will take our blokes another year or so before we can do that.

FPN stepped up yesterday. People have made him a scapegoat, and instead of watching games, just shift the blame onto him after a loss. He got through a lot of work, especially in defence, and ran OK. The point is, he moved forward, and was better than previously. Paea still has work to do on fitness and consistency - he can bend the line, and has great speed, but unfortunately only does it 1 or 2 times a game, as opposed to 5 or 6, backed up with a few more solid runs.

These two should be given a bit of time. I reckon by mid-winter, we'll be singing their praises. I could be dead wrong, but here's to hoping.

Koops - the sooner he is playing for Newtown the better - sorry Jets supporters
FPN - he played OK but Ryles and JWH showed him and Paea how it's done
Paea - oh how I wish you would show the form of old
Brian Smith - why do you persist with playing FPN and Paea at the same time?

The Roosters are getting NOTHING offensively out of the #9 at the moment and this really needs to be fixed.

Agreed there LR, the Keep FPN and Lopini separate in the rotation, or together for minimal time, then we will probably see better results.

It's worse than getting nothing offensively out of dummy half; Kouparitsis' service is actually hindering the attack - think the errant pass to Myles that led to an error and the poor last tackle pass to Pearce that put him on the back foot and eventually rushed a poor kick. As opposed to Brunton, whose passing is good.

Both men tackled well and did a lot of work in defence yesterday, which was pleasing.

brunton is definatly getting the points in this bout, koups is just too inconsistant with his service from hooker.

Brunton is fast, clean and crisp from hooker, the only thing lacking is experience.

I've watched FPN & Paea for a few a seasons now. Not missing a single game. & yesterday, as I have done all this year, compared them with our other props on show.. The whole team suffers when they are on. The other blokes playing prop do the job & are then let down by these 2 big nuffies.. yes they have/had potential.. But they seem to have lost their way & deserve to be at Newtown.
