But they seem to have lost their way & deserve to be at Newtown.
Frank Paul topped the tackle count. 39 tackles in 45 minutes. Sure, his running game wasn't great, but that is a massive defensive effort for a front rower.

Lopini played 30 minutes, and made almost 100 metres. He got through more work than JWH, both in defence and attack, in less time, yet people bag him, and are telling every who'll listen that Hargreaves is the next Morley.

Both actually played quite well. They are impact props, who will play around half a game and, at their best, will dent the line, and put a few hits on. They aren't at their best atm, but they're showing every sign of getting there. If you really have watched them for a few seasons, you'd know they generally hit their straps around July/August, when it gets cooler. They're predetermined scapegoats who'll cop it from all corners regardless of their performance. Bottom line is, they're actually going alright, will only get better as the season progresses, and we have very few other options.

We lost to a very good team in the Dragons. They are a well-drilled unit and Jamie Soward's kicking game kept turning us around and making us work it out of our own end. The boys were committed yesterday, we just weren't good enough on the day. There were definite signs of the footy we're capable of playing but sometimes we just lacked the go-forward needed to spark out attack. All in all, the boys played well and if it were another NRL team, we might have pulled through with the 2 points but it was not to be.

Maybe we should FPN Mr Flop... or 3rd man in??? Stats don't always show the true play.
Look at the replay & see how many times both FPN & Paea are caught out in the line.. they don't miss tackles coz they can't get near them..

As far as the enforcer tag goes.. yes I am telling you that JWH will have that tag..

At least when JWH came on he made an impact.. the other 2 don't.. they are weak & are defensive baggage..

I was behind them 100% for years, but have seen no improvement. The promised much & have delivered bugger all.

I taped the game, have watched it twice... FPN was not flopping defensively. He got through a mountain of work out there.

Paea ran hard, but needs to work on his fitness. 1 or 2 a game isn't good enough.

JWH missed a whole bunch of shoulder charges, but does have an aggressive quality to him that I like. He will be very good, I agree, but he's a fair way off yet.

Point is, FPN and Paea have improved markedly in comparison to their efforts against the Dogs and Penirth. They are on the right track, and, as I've said many times, will get better as the weather cools.

Finally, I see you calling for them to be sent to Newtown, but seriously, what other options do we have?

            Totally agree!!!!!!!!!
I really think Sam Brunton is the goods after watching him the last 2 games.

              And the koop bashing begins!
We lost because our forwards were dominated at the ruck... not cause koops threw a single stray pass out of the 30 odd he threw all day, which led to half a dozen events to a try in the 70th minute... get real
If people want to point fingers why anything isn’t said of that first try after the half time that was the softest in the match? Merrin pushed over 4 defenders... Why doesn’t redwhiteandbluester say something about the lack of effort in that? or the fact that myles' workload was bigger than both our second rowers??

The softest try was the one where Perrett came in off his wing. There was no need, even if it was Sean Kenny Dumb inside him. He had Cooper covered.

true but that was more an error in judgement, one player pushing over 4 players just after half time was soft, all of them should have been hooked!

Haha I wondered where all the Kouparitsis supporters had scurried off to after the weekend, you've been notoriously quiet 'rocket'

I'm impressed by your loyalty to the guy considering how bloody awful he continues to be

how bout you answer the questions at hand redwhiteandbluester? we were dominated in the ruck, had nothing to do with one stray pass by koops.

Okay, you're using the oldest school child argument in the book: "everybody else is doing it, so it's okay"/"there were other bad players, why are you picking on Kouparitsis." Errors by other players does not absolve Kouparitsis of another rubbish performance.

If you had cared to read my previous posts, you would have read...

... which addresses the ruck. But the fact other players weren't at their best doesn't mean that crap performances by other players should be tolerated.

Regardless, I think it's great you're standing by Kouparitsis - every time he plays yet another shite game, you can continue to look like a fool

you still didnt answer my questions redwhiteandbluester, why dont you talk me through the merrin try? from memory brunton was involved in that bit of sh*thouse defence... or the fact that our back rowers went into hiding (not including myles)?

and in reply to your joke of a statement, the dragons scored 2 tries in the opening 16 minutes of the second half, while JWH, Ryles and Brunton were on the field, which in effect put us out of the game. we were outplayed, easy as that.

now go away you pest... im starting to think koops did f*ck your missus cause your a bitter prick, either way you lose

Haha and now the toys are thrown from the pram.

You're obviously just upset that Kouparitsis vindicated my point of view, and the point of view of the vast majority of posters on this forum.

Take a deep breath, wipe away your tears, you can continue to support Kouparitsis and I can have a good laugh at your stubbornness
