  • Soward v Anasta

Hard to believe our Marquee next freddy "weighing up my options" Annesta looked like a pensioner against Soward, ricky stuarts "he's not a first grader"/

Soward didn't play the best but just reminded that a 5/8 is supposed to have spark, flair and the ability to sprint.......+ he cost a fraction of the lumbering Bwaif.

i'd swap them any day if those European Rugby clubs wern't clamouring at Bwaifs door lol. By the way.....only Bwaifs manager has heard these clamourings LOL

I'm not really interested in comparing the two players but can you please explain to me how Soward played with flair today? You are dribbling.

His kicking game was solid in the second half and that's it.

The only great thing he did was get up after JWH drove the shoulder through his spine.

Soward had heaps of flair, his runs from his halves attacking role to the wing for his defensive role with great flair. He ran away with the same flair when one of the fights broke out !

The little boy hides in defence, florence nightingale is his protector.

When soward actually defends 2 - 3 in from the wing and not on it, then he can be considered for SOO.

He hides, but in typical bennett style, (like Tony Caroll with Lockyer) he provides Soward with a body guard.

There is no questioning that Soward can be dangerous in attack, but he can easily be bumped off, get him one on one and he can be destroyed.

Soward is a 5/8,,,,he doen't have to be a great defender especially if his team CAN cover for him.
Soward is an inexperienced and historically mediocre 6. But he is more effective in his role than Anasta (as a 6....not as a wrestler) and that is both sad and pathetic.....he is on a fraction of anasta and was punted by easts........btw is it any different to the fact we have a flair half in Carney who is being misused cos Anasta has nowhere else to go....apart from europe lol

As i have said before Anasta as a captain is uninspiring. The sooner they get rid of him the better. I bet if he went on the open market his only option would be overseas, not 1 NRL club would go out of its way to sign him.

Soward is the biggest cat in the game. He defended on the wing then came in and kicked on the last.

I had a friend up from Melbourne who went to her first game of rugby league. Towards the end of the game she made a comment about how clean "the player in number 6 for their team" was.

Did he actually get tackled once?

Every time we get beaten by Saints, someone rolls out the Soward drivel.

Soward functions well in a system that has been put in place by Bennett to cover his (significant) weaknesses.

We let Soward go to keep Pierce and this is a decision that has already been vindicated and will continue to be.

Gee I hope they pick Soward for Origin so that we can all see exactly special he is.

BTW, the the little girly dance he does before he kicks goals should see him fined every week for bring the game into disrepute!!

soward - the only stmerge player to get booed by the few Roosters faithful that bothered to be at the game yesterday when the players were being introduced
soward - the cat that looks like he's a dog about to take a dump when taking a shot for goal (agree with theticket about this)
soward - go and get farged you biting milkman

                  anasta - pfft

                    Hey Bumstuffer,
a 5/8 is supposed to tackle as well.

But comparing them and the std dribble as someone mentioned is predictable and frankly quite boring. Take it somewhere where people care

Absolute rubbish - Soward is a one hit wonder, played decent footy last season, and is the biggest myth going...

Can't tackle, shit scared of contact, hides out on the edges, and has an average boot...

I'd take Braith over him 7 days a week. Braith played well in the first half. He ran well, and put in a couple of kicks that were OK. Second half he reverted back to his problems - poor kicking, over-involvement and forcing his hand. Still, looked better than in previous weeks.

The thing that fired me up at the game was when he was sledging our players whin Minichiello was taken into touch.

Our players didn't appreciate it either.

Fark I can't stand that little prick. How can a five eighth defend on the wing.

                        Cat.

That behaviour is typical of that fargin turd and unfortunately the headgear wearing softie can point to the scoreboard.

Yeah he had a go at graham in the corner. The little turd was getting steamrolled by graham until the bodyguard, nightingale came and pushed graham towards the corner post, graham offloaded them mini got bundled into touch.

he talks talks talks, until he comes and defends where a 5/8 should defend, he needs to keep his mouth shut !
