Everyone has to get over this. He knows he cant defend, Bennett knows he cant, So they protect him (what a good coach should do). Have a look at Lockyer now Bennetts gone, gets picked on every game, and lets in more tries than anyone.
But the kid can attack and look where st george are sitting

Their placement on the table has absolutely nothing to do with his attack,he`s done squat this year with ball in hand!
Oh,he ran into a yawning gap and scored a try against the Titans last week

Soward is a cat. Can't defend. Glad we punted him. People who talk about hnim as an origin player are ansolutely kidding. Defends on the wing. I'm not a Braith fan at all (he's a lock) but Soward is a whinging cat who is a bit like Phil Blake (hot and cold) and not an origin player.

His kicking game was solid in the second half and that's it.

The only great thing he did was get up after JWH drove the shoulder through his spine.
          LOLLOL hahaha

Soward is a 5/8,,,,he doen't have to be a great defender especially if his team CAN cover for him.Soward is an inexperienced and historically mediocre 6. But he is more effective in his role than Anasta (as a 6....not as a wrestler) and that is both sad and pathetic.....he is on a fraction of anasta and was punted by easts........btw is it any different to the fact we have a flair half in Carney who is being misused cos Anasta has nowhere else to go....apart from europe lol
            What a joke!
I play 6 and i love tackling. If i wasnt mixing it up with the big boys in the middle, the coach would hook me.

If Greedy's coach was bennett, greedy would be allowed to hide on the wing !

This thread is the biggest bunch of sour grapes I have ever seen on this forum.

Anzac day clashes last two years:
                    Soward 31 - Roosters 6.

Grow up guys. He can tell us all to go suck a basket of eggs and we have nothing.

                    Chook.

Soward didn't play the best but just reminded that a 5/8 is supposed to have spark, flair and the ability to sprint.......+ he cost a fraction of the lumbering Bwaif.

i'd swap them any day if those European Rugby clubs wern't clamouring at Bwaifs door lol. By the way.....only Bwaifs manager has heard these clamourings LOL
fair dinkum , some people on this forum talk shit.

Soward is a passenger in that team . All he has is a kicking game. He was steam-rolled time after time ..then got up sledging when his team mates cleaned up his mess..

Ricky,Freddy and Anderson were right in punting this little C.A.T ...

watch him buckle in October ...

I hate Soward, he is a cocky little cat who can't tackle and likes to taunt teams when he is winning.

But I think the more pertinent point is Braith is supposed to be a top shelf 5/8, yet over the last 4 years how many games has he taken by the scruff and dominated like a player of his supposed calibre should do?

Sure in 2008 he had that great kicking game that was effective until other teams figured it out and then what......nothing no plan B, C or D.

I am sure all the Anasta Fan Club members will come out and defend their shining knight with the usual taunts of he's a great guy, great club man, playing injured etc etc.

The facts still remain that Anasta is one of the slowest halves in the NRL, his kicking game over the last two years has been diabolical, and worst of all when he is under pressure and the game is on the line he NEVER produces the goods.

When was the last time that the Roosters were behind in a game and Anasta came up with some dominant play(s) that won the Roosters the game. My last memory of this was in 2007 against the West Tigers. The game went to golden point and Anasta feigned the field goal and passed to Amos Roberts to score and win the game. For a top shelf player this just isn't good enough.

Carney and Pearce must be our halves if we are to be a dominant force.

                            Well said.
Anasta is indicatice of the poor recruiting (dogs rejects) over the last 5 years.
What amazes me is that the Anasta fan club always insist that Anasta is improving, moving towards form, recovering from an injury etc in otherwords in transition....about to become. He is 28 and had shown his hand. His is a finished product. Its amazing that this marquee player still attracts debate as to whether he can even play 5/8 or whether he is a lock. Fitler had a good look at him and shafted him to fullback or lock. Like previously stated he has never done anything meaningful at the Roosters. If a player gets the balll in hand at 1st or 2nd reciever 50 times a game sooner or later a try will eventuate. If u put Kevin 07 at 6 sooner or later he would pass the ball to a sprinting centre who would run through the gap. Anasta has set up tries......wow.....but has never set up games.....CONSISTENTLY
punt this overpaid overrated hack to Europe

Nobody argues with Braith's shortcomings of the expectations placed on him by the supporters. The argument is:

                              a) How can you blame it all on one bloke when there are 12 others beside him on the field ? FFS we threw a game last year against the Cows.

b)Everyone has this Benji/Lockyer prototype style that our 5/8th must play but fail to realise that it's a bit deeper than that. Games are won on the back of 1 team, working toward one goal, with individual jobs.

Dominant halves win you games hey ? Well, i'm glad you don't follow NQ or Tigs.
