Yes, they weren't very good and made many mistakes and missed too many tackles.
But like others have said, last year, they would have lost that game but this year they won it even though it was unconvincing and for now, I'm happy with the outcome.

a truly reserve grade perfomance in the first half

they certainly lifted in defence in the second though

but there is no team that threatens less in attack than us

      won't make the 8

Like I said before, our attack was disjointed, but I'd take a season of wins like that, rather than a flowing attack but getting our defense torn to shreds.

I certainly don't think we're world beaters but you only need to win half your games to finish 8th and for all our poor form, we're right up there.

Good indication will be the next two weeks. Finals sides (even those that just scrape in) must beat sides like a Thurston-less North QLD and Newcastle.

At the start of the season I didn't see us as top 8 chances but looking at the state of the opposition I think we will make it easy.

The way I see it Sharks, Broncos, Cowboys, Raiders, Knights and Warriors are going much worse than us. I'd be suprised if any of those sides made the 8. Throw in the Storm who are out there are a lack of quality sides in this competition.

Jeez, some people cannot take the win.

Few weeks ago everyone was praising our attack saying we need to tighten our defence.

We get hammered by the refs, drop the ball every second tackle and still keep the Tigers to 1 try.

I'd say there are a few positives we can take out of the game.

For ****s sake people, the game was crap, we were crap, tigers were crap, the refs were crap.

The bottom line is we "won ugly".

This time last year we were just "ugly".

                      Bring on the Thurston-less Cowgirls.

I'm happy with the end result.

If that was a GF and we're sitting here today as premiers, are you talking the same way?

A win is a win and considering last year being down 8 nil at halftime would have equated to a shutdown by us I'm damn happy.

We cannot forget we are missing Pearce, Symonds, Cherro, Aubusson. Not to mention Anasta, Guerra and Myles were injured yesterday mid match.

Not a bad performance against a side of such attacking flair like Wests if you ask me.

We are sitting on 10 points, 5 wins, 3 losses. If we beat the Cowboys that's 12 points, 6 wins, 3 losses. Then a bye, 14 points, then Newcastle. If we win that it's 7 wins, 3 losses and we are on 16 points and halfway to the top 8. We're sitting pretty well at the moment.
