  • Anasta,Guerra,Linnett Injured

geez we can't take a trick at the moment, hopefully some of the previously injured troops return on monday against the cowboys or we may struggle to put a side on the field.

Anasta - ankle injury, Brian Smith quoted saying he is in grave doubt for this weekend, he was in a pretty bad way after the match today

Guerra - back injury, will have to wait for scans to see the extent of the injury

Linnett - injured in the final training session for today's match (unknown injury), Baitieri was called up to replace him.

Harsh. We'll have to rely on Myles and Ryles more next week.

I thought Anasta stood up when it counted today.

Still, Cowboys are a reserve grade side at the moment.

Exactly. There is hardly an easier game than Nth Qld without Thurston in Sydney, if we are to make the top 8 this is a must win. They are terrible.

So I guess Anasta won't front for City then?

City rule out five-eighth Braith Anasta; Joel Reddy added to bench

          May 03, 2010

City five-eighth Braith Anasta has been ruled out of Friday's clash with Country in Port Macquarie.

Anasta picked up an ankle injury playing for Sydney Roosters in Sunday's 12-8 NRL win over Wests Tigers.

He will be replaced in the No.6 jersey by Parramatta's Kris Keating.

Another Eels back, Joel Reddy, comes onto the City bench while the Tigers' Liam Fulton has been named 18th man.

Interesting to see if Anasta plays on Monday night now

You would think if he is ruled out, Jones would move to #6

Carney to 6, Jones to 7????

              Jaubs for an early comeback?

I wouldn't play Jones at 7. I would play him at 6. Actually, his better games in the top grade have been at 6. Carney had an off day yesterday, but he is still our best option at 7 until Pearce returns

Carney to 6 and if fit Jaubs to 7, he is a halfback afterall.
