Gosford is only half as far as Sydney is from Newcastle the last time I looked at a map...

You always seem to misinterpret my posts...

"Although, I do agree it is crazy to hand over a home game to the opposition"

I didn't misinterpret anything. We aren't handing a home game to the opposition. It's not as if we are playing the game in Newcastle. They still have just as far to travel as we do

But Kramer, the point is that the Central Coast is closer to Newcastle than Sydney is which means potentially more Knights supporters will show up to a game played at Bluetongue rather than the SFS.

But they travel better than we do..

More Newcastle fans will travel to Gosford than they would to the SFS..

There may well be more Newcastle fans than Easts fans at the Gosford game..

"Although, I do agree it is crazy to hand over a home game to the opposition" - Do you think it is just a coincidence that it is the Newcastle game we move to Gosford instead of games against other teams..??

          It's like teaching kindy...

Yes it is closer to them. But it's not handing them a 'home game'. I would prefer the game to be played at the SFS. But I think the majority of the reason for moving it to Gosford is to benefit the people of the Central Coast, rather than the people of Newcastle. It just makes sense to move the Newcastle game there, as they are the most relevant opponent. If we wanted to hand them the game, we would take it to Newcastle. This move will benefit fans of the game, rather than just focusing on promoting the game internally

It is for money and money alone (As stated in the thread name)...

I am happy to agree to disagree as to whether it is more like a home game for Easts or Newcastle...

Sorry, I know the monetary benefit is the main reason for the move. I was referring to the benefit of the supporters in that comment. It is aimed to benefit the people of the CC, more so than those of Newcastle. Yes it assists in getting more Knights supporters to the match, by making it easier for them to travel

I could'nt care less what the motivation is for moving the game.....because i live 20 minutes away from Bluetongue

Hey RC - if last night game had of been at Bluetongue there would have been more than 6,400 !!!

You talk about the club puttng $$$ first, that might mean something if the Roosters fans turned up to games
