They come onto the field 5 min after the games completion and warmed down with Mescia.
Good move by Brian IMO, sending out a clear message to those under-achievers to shape up or else......
BTW, good news on Leilua who made his return from injury last night in NYC. He had a good 1st half which included a solo effort try from 40m out, but soon after half-time he had to be taken from the field via medi-cab.
Fearing the worst(a re-occurrence of a leg injury) i later found out his energy levels nosedived because he was playing on empty i.e. no breakfast etc...
Go figure!!!

Last nights try was a beauty.....he was playing in the centres. got the ball, fended off 2 opposition players then planted the ball over the line. Special talent. Good utility value.
Shades of his first cousin Sia Soliola's ability (mother's side).

After the last three weeks poor performance by some and with all the players back from injury and a few shining out in NYC, if Smith does not send a few back to Newtown this week, I would be concerned that he can't identify how to improve the team. He said at the beginning of the year that it will take a while to work out the right combinations. Well after 9 weeks, it looks like we are getting worse by the week. Surely there are combinations that even blind Freddy could have seen, although some seem to be the same that blind Freddy had.
Wield the axe Smithy, why not, nothing to lose pal but heaps to gain.
2010 is our rebuilding year and part of that should be blooding potentials.

Fair dinkum you people cry about mediocrity and yet you call for more of it....
A couple of years back you and others scorned me because Pearce had done jack shit but gained 1st grade selection, it wasnt warranted at the time, but is working well atm.
I have been guilty in the past of the old, Hes a good bloke off the field, he is loved by fans, he is a nice guy, it just doesnt stack up anymore, i dont want a team of nice players who constantly **** up, but are great too have a beer and chat with after the game.
I want a team of football hungry winners, with a win at all cost attitude, in 20 years ill still be supporting the Roosters, in 2 years most of these blokes will not give you, I or this club the time of day.
being mates and footy dont mix, ask Freddy

And if you think he is, then you are deluding yourself Rusty......I thought you guys were the ones always saying how you dont accept mediocrity......
Each to their own, but funny how I am not alone in this line of thinking.....
And for the record I only have one adopted nephew and one honey that would gladly look after for a few years........Neither of which is Mitchell Pearce.....Last edited by phantom; 05-11-2010, 07:50 PM.

SKD, Pez, Graham, Mini, look petrified when faced with open space in front of them.
He will excel in 1st grade because he has that killer attitude, as does Linnett, they want to hurt in attack and defence, someone like Luke Towers deserves his shot in qst grade, he has more than bided his time and proved his worth, If this club as a whole wants to move forward, when need to get these guys into 1st grade sooner rather than later.
Just remember the bulk of this saide are the ones who were deplorable last season and deserved the spoon they won, thankfully a couple of additions have helped sugar coat the problems, but if you dip a turd in choc flavouring its still a turd.
the time is right for change, before we play ourselves out of top 8 contention.
