Thanks for the heads up murry. Why would they being trying to offload four players mid-season when we have depth issues? Surely we don't have cap issues with our roster. Is this Smithy getting rid of dead wood or troubled players? Are we planning on getting more players to replace these guys before the June 30 deadline? It just all seems very bizarre. I hope this doesn't cause disharmony amongst the players.

for the 1st 3 months of this year they were promoting last seasons fan day on their website, Williamson will be old and grey before they update anything.

I have asked around and they are correct, this unfortunately is not a rumour, will happen very shortly, murray is correct also, although one is only a fringe 1st grader.

I'm really pissed that this kid won player awards in lower grades and he skill is clearly evident and now he is gone without the chance to prove himself in FG. Meanwhile SKD continues to blunder. Nero is fiddling whilst Rome burns...

The releases are surely to reduce cap pressures. Murry, only 3 reasons come to mind:
1. Cap breaches
2. Imminent Recruitment
3. Attitude/ability

I believe Ryan Williamson has certain clauses in his contract which require him to play a certain amount of games and once he triggers it, he receives additional bonuses and I'm not sure the club wants to trigger these clauses so the situation is they either pay him out or he doesn't play for us for the rest of his contractual term.

There have been several clubs who have enquired about Ryans contract situation recently, so I would say it's more of a mutual agreement. In the end he had 4 clubs to choose from and picked the Cowboys as he knows quite a few of their players there from his junior days, and its also close to home for him.

I would say the club asked his manager to look around to see if there were any interested clubs. Originally Ryan wasn't really interested in moving but is quite keen on the idea now.

we have Ben Jones - who isn't a centre at all

we have Phil Graham - an older re-badged winger

Joel Monaghan showed tremendous potential as a strike centre the moment he signed for the Raiders again

His form, from the time Freddy took over at the backend of 2007, was nothing short of devastating. He was near unstoppable from 10m out, his confidence in his own ability in the air came back, and he became an integral strike weapon out wide.

A centre pairing of Monaghan/Cross would be up there with the most dangerous (and ugliest) in the NRL if we had held onto them. We hedged our bets on Soliola though, shunting Monas out to the wing - big mistake.

There's your winner. Pity he was injured for much of the time. I rate him slightly higher than Cross. Not long ago but SKD has just shattered my memory. It seems he has been here since 2004.
