  • SFS Attendance

A few here have complained about our home game being playerd at Gosford.
Albeit a Monday night, the official attendance tonight was 6400.

    6400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets say Anasta is getting $400k a year. That means that his weekly wage is higher than tonights crowd.

I was at the game and suspect the expected gate inflation. There was no one there!!!!!

Now, 15 + years ago my old man would take me to Roosters games where as a kid you knew you were witness to dark days in Rooster history. But a Roosters vs Magpies on a rainy Sunday afternoon would double the current attendance.

$6 beers and no atmosphere. A team that can't tackle or catch. A captain who is like the emperor with no clothes. If bombs were outlawed nasta would have nothing, A fullback that is scared to tackle.

But the crowd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forget the salary cap. These Roosters boys need to be holding placards on the side of the road that says, "feed me banannas"

Someone slipped an extra '0' in at the end. At 3/4 time in the 20s i thought there were maybe 64 spectators present.
ATM we would drop those placards.

I'm embarrassed by the attendance. The boys couldn't even turn up on field for those who left work early or travelled to the game.

I know alot of people that would have gone except its a Monday (read school night) and kids have hlaf yearlys, unfortunately thats more important.

But if you are playing decent football, more people do go

It was disappointing but when you put it into perspective it's not the worst crowd.

I mean generally we've got a very young supporter base so a Monday night was never going to attract well unfortunately. Throw in an out of Sydney team and it was always a recipe for disaster... although you'd still hope we could always stay in 5 figures

also embarrassing to note that we've been the source of both <10k crowds this year in the NRL. ie, whilst there have only been 2 sub 10k crowds, both have involved us as the home team.

On tv it looked more like 640 to me.

The funny thing is the only time they showed the crowd was when they were leaving at the 70th min mark. I guess they were leaving to beat the traffic..hehe...

I think it was 1996-99 when Monday night footy was introduced and the SFS was the place to be. All the school kids got in free and there was a real atmosphere. If the products good ppl buy it.

I was in school then and i remember being a Fitler/Ricko/Fitzy/Morley disciple. Can u imagine that same passion today for Anasta? Thats what he was payed for. To become our Marquee player. To be our brand. He is Sh%%t

Unfortunetly, I witnessed that crap tonight.

The crowd was no more than 4500.

Still cannot believe what I saw. Cowgirls were pathetic, but we were even worse

                      Crikey.

I think you're refering to the Monday Night game against Manly in 1996. Although I might be mistaken because we lost that one.
Our biggest crowd ever and it was a Monday night. What has happened since then?

In 1996 we had two quality games on a Monday night, against Brisbane and Manly and we were playing good football back then,no wonder we got 30,000 plus to both of them,i also think there were a few free tickets floating around then too.No matter if we on top of the ladder and what day we played the Cowboys we would always struggle to get a crowd of more the 7,000.
