Watching the cowboys game I was not happy, not just because of the stupid errors and piss poor defense (at times) but it looked as though there was no plan, no structure.
Now I would not try to believe that Smith had no game plan or structure, so you must come to the conclusion that it was a bunch of halfwits that could not execute their instructions.

The thing is Melon, I used to feel for him, I was told by my mates to have patience in him but I could see 3 years ago that he did not have the ability to read the play and really you must be able to show the potential for that, he dosent.

Easts have done well over the years by picking up park players cheap and turning them into good players ie Mini for eg but im afraid thay have struk out with this kid, that gamble hasnt worked this time.

How was the level of coaching he received in the first 2 of those years?

Surely Its not an NRL coach's job to teach a player the basics of the game, that should already be imbedded in the brain in the early stages.

Ive got my heart on my mouth everytime the play is going his way either in attack or defence, you just know hes going to **** up and mostly he does
