the problem is Smith doesn't have any options to replace the trash we have in the outside backs, the club in its wisdom is releasing Williamson, Linnett is injured and Naughton has only just returned from injury.

harold matts and sg ball titles back to back as well as a toyota cup team with some of the best young talent in the game sitting at the top if not pretty much at the top of the ladder begs to differ. His job is more to recruit and develop the youngsters through. The signings he made for this year were Carney, JWH, Conn, Guerra, Graham and Ryles. I have personally been pretty happy with all of them - Guerra and Conn largely nuffies have been solid contributors, Ryles has done his job and JWH and Carney have provided some ticker and flair. The only questionable one is graham. He hasnt been bad just lacked involvement and has looked a little pedestrian. The blokes that are the problem are the players already there - past it mini and anasta, pea heart paea, cant catch kenny etc. paea and kenny were re-signed prior to his involvement with the club and anasta was signed well before his time and paea and mini are juniors.

Bag him all you like but once the cordners, leiluas, blairs and co hit firsts i think you will be singing his praises
