  • A current Newcastle player

told me that all of the current team were so glad to see the back of Brian Smith because all ha had to offer was footy skills.
    No mateship, no personal development.

    Just footy, footy, footy.
    Drove them nuts.

Said that they would do better under Rick Stone.

    At first I was unsure.
After that game, I believe him.

If any team we should have beaten in 2010 was Newcastle.
He knows the players back to front.

    Yet,....

they lifted for their new coach to wipe Smiths face in the dirt.
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Lucky to last so long in the NRL without a premiership...but I won't say anymore cause too many were lauding his signing cause he's experienced at getting rid of deadwood and rebuilding a culture and blah blah blah blah blah...

He's here to top up his super fund and won't last the 4 years and basically collect 4 years pay in 2 years with his severance pay and the only one clapping will be Hegarty the clap happy ****...

Make up your mind.. You bagged him all off season, loved him after 6 weeks.. Good to see you're rock solid.. I have actually heard players at the Roosters say they have never had a coach so concerned about the players wealthfare and off field lives... I see it as nothing but sour grapes from the Newcastle player.

I doubt they'll do better under stone. But I'm starting to think we've made another blunder with smith - thanks Gus

I don't believe it was from a current Newcastle player..

You would only still be in contact with Danny Wicks and Chris Houston..

Show me where I have said or written that I love him...show me where I have bagged him...I don't need to make up my mind instead you need to check your facts first before you post...

I had an opinion of him before he came to the Roosters and I can tell you that I was not jumping up for joy...I'll let the vultures hover over his carcass cause it's not too far off...

I still believe that signing Smith was & still is the right move.. The problem is the mediocrity that runs through our side..

If he's that good a coach he should be able to see it and get rid of it...he's had many years experience coaching in the NRL now...

The only thing I can think at the moment is that he's trying to find who's got the ticker to get themselves out of this & stand up.. Although i'm starting to think that the answer is becoming clear..

I think it's pathetic that a current player would say that to someone who works for another club and supports another.

People in any industry bag bosses after they leave.

I'm not that sure it's such an achievement to get one up on Smith by beating us. We are a pretty ordinary football team.

I think we all underestimated how much Pearce brings to the side. I think we would of won both games with him at half.

Making tons of changes is not the right choice as you will lose confidence from your players.
Performing players need a go while strugglers get dropped to Reggies but you can't promote half a park team to firsts and expect results.

We'll look like more of a rabble than we do now. Changes will be made, the world will not end.

Well with some of the stupid errors and decisions we make, I don't see why just 'footy, footy, footy' is such a bad thing.
