The difference between sutton and anasta is that sutton is capable of pulling his finger out and having a few good games a year where he looks top, then the rest of the time he is sleeping. Anasta just doesn't have it in attack, he's got nothing. With anasta at the helm, we've basically had no real attack for 5 years now.
As someone else said, he's a fat slow overpaid Greek - he should in that wog boy 2 movie in mikanos rather than in our team

Leading try assists, what about leading tries blown etc, his kicking is amaxingly bad.
Don't make me laugh about Finch guiding a team around the park. ****ing retard can't guide anything, its Cronk that does it and Finch just catches the ball and passes it on.
I will admit a couple of those passes were not bad, but he is a joke and just marginally better than Sutton...

I have no problem with the fact Anasta is not the saviour that he was portraited.
Can't question his commentment and his defense. I would probably prefer another 5/8.
But I would not under any circumstances want Sutton instead of Anasta.
No one in their right mind would be interested in Sutton, and if the Roosters were it highlights the stupidity that existed in our club. The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

It is fair to say that Anasta has not lived up to the high expectations establised by fans of this club.
It is also fair to say that when we signed Anasta he was in hot demand (for all Anasta haters please note that the Dogs chose Anasta over Thurston back in the day)
It is also fair to say that there are jack shit complete 5/8ths on the game today - Lockyer being pretty much the only one.
Hate Anasta all you like but when people start name checking Soward, Finch and Sutton to make thir point, they are refuting themselves.

John Sutton (Souths), Greg Bird (Titans) and Feleti Mateo (Eels) are locks, but they are definitely more than capable of playing five-eighth.
Trent Barrett (Sharks), Braith Anasta (Roosters), Terry Campese (Raiders), James Maloney (Warriors), Brett Finch (Storm), Ben Rogers (Knights), Robert Lui (Tigers), Wade Graham (Panthers), Kieran Foran (Manly), and Blake Green (Bulldogs) are traditional five-eighths IMO, solid allround players, but IMO they all lack something of an x-factor.
Jarrod Mullen (knights), Jamie Soward (Dragons), Benji Marshall (Tigers), Ben Roberts (Bulldogs), Kris Keating (Eels), Daniel Mortimer (Eels), Preston Campbell (Titans) and Todd Carney (Roosters) are examples of new-age five-eighths, with lots of emphasis on their speed, running games, and instinctive playing style.
Joel Moon, Travis Burns, Jamie Lyon, Matt Rogers and Luke Lewis are just examples of slotting in fill-in players, much like we did by throwing Flannery and Aubusson and Sa at five-eighth. Rogers, Moon and Lyon are centres, Lewis is a lock, and Burns is a tackling hooker.
There are lots of different styles of five-eighths going around, but the only COMPLETE five-eighth seems to be Lockyer. He can run, pass, kick, control match tempo, and do a hell of a lot of leadership too. But I think Carney will compliment Pearce more, he needs a running, speedy five-eighth with him.

Wouldn't this afterall make him look bad because he has to overcome the large handicap of having a rubbish half beside him?
Sutton is rubbish. Gives up if his forwards aren't rolling the opposition. Has a decent bomb, and nothing else.

please please please let Soward play one origin game so that no one ever has this ridiculous discussion again.
Soward's heavily flawed. As I've said before... the Dragons' main players are Cooper, Costigan, Saffy, Creagh, Priddis, Weyman, Nightingale and Morris. International grade big men and wingers... need I say more.
You know Soward's a bit like Anasta to be honest. Anasta looked gun when the Bulldogs won the premiership... they were quite similar to the Dragons - a bunch of international-grade forwards who cleaned everything up, gave Braith clean ball and drew in players... Willie Wanka at his best took 10 men to drag him down... then Braith would kick the ball out to El Masri or Utai, and he'd score. In the finals, one might have thought that Anasta was better than Freddie... history has proven otherwise I think now that he's replaced Freddie.
When teams play by this tactic I think you can slot in pretty well any NRL-grade 5/8 and it won't make much of a difference. When you take those guys out of their winning teams, it's then that you find out whether they're legends or not. I personally don't think Soward is...

I can't see how Anasta has not been a huge disapointment.
If Anasta was to stay out injured for 6 weeks the management and supporters would not be that disapointed. Rather they would think its an OPPURTUNITY to try out someone else (Carney?) at 6. Anasta to me seems to just "FILL IN" the 5/8th role.
Finch, Soward, Sutton, Campese, Bird, are all 5/8ths who play a role in their particular sides.
Finch defers to Cronk and superstars.
Sowards flair compliment a well drilled unit
Sutton continues the physicality of a big pack
Campese controlls
what does Anasta do? has he developed any combinations at all in 4 years? Has he influenced any particular playing style? Could you seriously say that Braith Anasta has done anything while at the Roosters? Under his captaincy we achieved wooden spoon.
He has been a huge disapointment. That is a fact.

Sometimes I feel that with Anasta its almost like we have to play him because we made him captain.....a bit like the predicament that NSW are in with Gidley.
Carney and Pearce killed it in the halves in the trial matches and I am sure Brian wishes he could pair them up surely.

Finch completely controls the 1st half....2 try assists and a field goal to lead a reserve grade Melbourene to a hard fought win over the dogs.
Both players showed (along with Lockyer last night) what a 6 is supposed to do in a modern game. Both players were moved from the Roosters because the Marquee player...heavily payed....was to make the 6 position his own.
Both players voted in todays Telecrap poll ahead of that Marquee player in preferred NSW 6.
The fat Greek was the greatest mistake. He must go.
but you're wasting your time sodomite
most of them on here simply don't get it
